Nicole Richie looked cute as a button when she stepped out with her beau, Joel Madden, at the A Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival that benefited the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

The skinny minnie stuffed her new mama boobs into this vintage dress which was a.dor.a.ble. And in true Nicole Richie fashion, she topped it off with a boho braid, gigantic sunglasses, and sky high heels. Obsessed.

S'more t-shirts: Summer camp

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.

Ah, summer camp- the tents, the s'mores, the mosquitoes, the ridicule, the years of therapy. Those were the days.

Did you know that camp is chic? Yes, actual camp, as in summer, bonfires and short shorts. We didn't know this either, sure, we enjoy it, or at least watching movies about it, but thanks to the Los Angeles Times we've been given the green light on embracing our inner ten-year-old (not that we ever acted much older).

Unique-Vintage.com steals designs from lines they carry

1950s style halter top Trixie dress by Trashy Diva designer Candice Gwinn gets ripped off with this blatant fake dress by Unique-Vintage.com
Big companies stealing ideas from independent designers is not an unheard of phenomenon, unfortunately. But what is even worse is when the little guys start stealing from other little guys. We've seen it before on sites like Etsy and eBay, where unscrupulous "artists" sometimes blatantly steal the designs of other true artists, recreate them and sell them as their own, original work. Well, it's happened again, and this time it's personal.

Dita Von Teese: red hot retro glamour

For some girls, red is the only color for nails or lipstick. With a retro look like this, the details are all important -- smudges and chips are not to be tolerated. If, like Dita, you like a classic red gloss, then you probably also have several pairs of pointy heels, and are partial to false eyelashes and have several vintage cocktail dresses. Want Dita's nails at home? L'Oreal's Dozen Red Roses should do the trick.

Crazy craving: Victorian lace up boots

Every few years lace up ankle booties come back into style. These vintage lace up boots could very well be the original pair that all of those boots are based on.

Even thought they are from the 19th century -- that's 18-something! -- and over a hundred years old, possibly two, they are still totally in style. In fact, they look like a Gothic Lolita version of these white Chanel boots with the black cap toe.

Vintagedge: T-shirts for America

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.

Vintagedge makes designer t-shirts for a variety of tastes. Our favorite collection is the state line, and we don't mean the one we've been escorted across on several occasions. Rather, Vintagedge offers a humorous t-shirt that supports/teases a good portion of the states in the union. They're like the Sufjan Stevens of t-shirts.

Mischa Barton creates a handbag line

Once upon a time, Mischa Barton was a star on the very popular television show, The O.C. Teens loved her, magazines put her on their covers, and designers were more than happy to outfit her for red carpet events.

Then one day, everything changed.

She had the writers of Fox hit kill her off, she hooked-up with this guy who looked liked he smelled and her career soon began to go on the decline as a result.

Top 5 ways to green up your wardrobe

By this point we've all heard how important it is to buy eco-friendly products, and that includes fashion. But is it all just hype? Just another marketing gimmick employed by corporate America to try and get us to spend more dollars but feel less guilty about doing it? Many companies have been accused of greenwashing, and it's certainly true that buy buy buy is not the way to help our environment.

No matter what though, people will always want to dress in a way that makes them feel good about the way they look. We shouldn't have to compromise style in our quest to save the planet. Sure, we need to adjust our habits, but that doesn't mean that we'll all end up looking like a bunch of dirty hippies. Here's our list of the top 5 ways to really green up your wardrobe.

Vintage Red makes shirts we love

Vintage Red's latest contribution to our closet is inspired by world travels, beers in Bali, and long laughs shared with "citizens of the world." It is a meeting of the travel inspired and the classically western, and it fits nicely.

Their Spring '08 line consists of three collections that are as distinct as they are similar. Tricky, that. They are split into Military Neutrals, Coastal Living, and South of France, respectively, and while there are the occasional pair of shorts or printed t-shirts, the majority of the line is button up shirts, both short sleeves and long.
