Moral Fabric: What t-shirts are made of

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.

Moral Fabric
is a t-shirt company that originated in Texas. Their passion is to make t-shirts that "focus on the psychedelic art movement of the 60's and 70's, ancient Middle Eastern mosaic patterns, perception vs. reality, spiritual ideologies, and the intelligent designs of Mother Nature." You know, cool stuff.

Rolling Razor: Shaving (r)evolved

We shave. You shave. We all shave for, um, the acceptance of society? We're not sure why we're forced to shave, but we know it itches if we don't. Plus we look a bit like Lon Chaney, Jr., if we ignore it too long. It's the hair gene (that's science) and it's our curse. Damn dirty apes.

Until recently there weren't a lot of options in razors. There were straight, stem, disposable, electric and laser cat. Some choices have proven more popular than others.

Enter the two-headed dragon. The Rolling Razor slips on and off fingers easier than a wedding ring in Vegas. So we've heard.

Jesus got a lousy t-shirt

Easter is nigh and it's time to offend or be offended. Candy and punch will be served.

Previously I shared with you what I thought was the best Easter shirt ever. It probably is. The shirts I'm featuring today, from David and Goliath and Splitreason, respectively, are a bit more, for lack of a better word, extreme. So why am I sharing them if they're so offensive? Why didn't I just stick with the chocolate bunnies? Well, the thing is, you can't please everyone, and while some will hate others will laugh. Besides, don't you think chocolate bunnies were offended from that last shirt? It's all relative.

The shirt pictured above (David & Goliath, you remember them) really hit home. It's actually a shirt within a shirt. You see, Jesus is wearing a t-shirt on the t-shirt, and it is on his shirt that the message is printed. The message is the part that hit home, not the whole shirt within a shirt part. That wouldn't make any sense.

The message reads, "My dad created the universe and all I got was this lousy t-shirt." I must have had a dozen of these when I was a kid. Of course, my parents didn't create the universe, but they went places like Vegas where these shirts were readily available right in the airport. I was a walking lousy billboard of places my parents had traveled without me or a decent souvenir.

Hey, am I bitter? This is like therapy.

So with nothing further ado, I give you shirts that will make you laugh or cause you to cast me into eternal hellfire. I hope you laugh.

Shop til your drop - in Vegas

forum shops at caesar's palaceWhile the biggest draw to Vegas is likely the unlikely chance that you'll walk away with thousands of dollars in winnings, there are other reasons to go to Sin City. The food-ish side of me (which certainly shows on the outside), loves the fact that so many notable chefs have opened up restaurants in Vegas. The fashion-ish side of me (which is sadly, hidden on the inside), loves the shopping. Yes, without ever stepping foot out into the desert air, you can access thousands upon thousands of square feet of unpure, adulterated shopping.

Fodor's has put together a quick list of the major shopping areas of Las Vegas, so while your girlfriends or boyfriends or newly-made-at-the-club-last-night friends are throwing their money away at tables, you can do the same at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, Desert Passage at Aladdin, Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas, and The Grand Canal Shoppes at Venetian, but at least you'll walk away with stuff.

Floyd Landis shades

You've no doubt heard a lot about him lately. Remember, he won the Tour de France last Sunday? And remember, he staged an amazing comeback in the Alps last Thursday -- riding alone for something like 100 miles -- after absolutely cracking earlier in the race? And remember how, two weeks ago, it was disclosed in the New York Times Magazine that for several years he's been riding with a broken hip?

Sure, all that's amazing. But what I find most amazing about Floyd are his shades. On the bike, he rolls with the Oakleys as per a no doubt lengthy sponsorship contract. But off the bike, on the podium and in interviews, Floyd sports a less-than-sporty pair of sunglasses.

Is it an 80s thing? A Vegas thing? I don't know.

One thing's for certain: in a world of style-oblivious sponsored athletes, Floyd Landis does his own thing.
