When the temperatures rise, we want our wardrobe to be hot, too. However, some of the summer styles shown on models and mannequins aren't exactly the most flattering for all body types.

This can make shopping for a sweet summer tank top difficult -- how can you figure out which style will best flatter you? We've got a few suggestions for the best tank tops for your body type. Check out the gallery to find out what you should be wearing!

Flatter Your Figure: Elongating a Short Torso

Most of us have things about our bodies we'd like to change -- you know, the grass is always greener anywhere but here, right? One of the important things to keep in mind when we're figuring out how to best disguise our least favorite body part is that there are other body parts that we do like, and so instead of just disguising, we want to look at how to draw attention elsewhere.

If your problem is a short torso, chances are that you have fairly long legs. While you don't want to wear teeny-tiny shorts around all the time to show off how long they are, keep them in mind while you shop, and don't be afraid to flaunt what you have. However, we have a few tips to help you keep your body looking proportional -- check out what we have to say in the gallery!

Tip of the day: They call me mellow yellow (and grey)

We have seen the yellow and gray combo around for some time now. The sunny hue is completely complimentary of the soft neutral and a perfect pick for those with a cool skin tone. Plus, it's a lot less harsh than its bumblebee side kick, black and yellow.

Try giving some of these mellow yellow looks a whirl.

Fashionology 101 for girls

Just in case the tween crowd in Beverly Hills can't find any wealthy billionaires willing to invest in their promising clothing lines (unlike mini mogul Kira Plastinina), there's a new store opening in their neighborhood where every aspiring Project Runway contestants currently trapped in elementary school can let their creative juices flow.

Much like Build-a-bear, Fashionology is a fun haven where girls between the ages of 8 and14 can customize various styles of basic articles of clothing (tank, hoodie, and capri prints) with a simple touch of a screen; no sewing is involved.

Tip of the day: She's got legs and she knows how to use them!

Many of us women out there suffer during the summer because we don't have stems like a supermodel. Unfortunately, you can't think your legs long but you can create the illusion that they're a mile long with the right clothes. So let's put an end to your suffering and take a look at some helpful hints to getting Rockette worthy gams.

Flatter Your Figure: Playing up a small bust

In middle school, being flat is a bummer. Your friends are developing and going up in bra sizes, and you are still able to wear the training bra your mom bought you two years ago. Not because you needed it, but because your friends all had them.

As you got older and continued to have small breasts, we hope that you started to appreciate it -- you don't have to worry about painful bouncing when you exercise, and you can get away with a strapless dress without needing a bra. However, that doesn't mean you want to flaunt the fact that you're barely an A cup, so we've got some suggestions for making the most of what you've got.

Flatter Your Figure: Ladies with large arms

Do you start bringing out your tank tops at the first sign of summer? Or do you hold out and wear shirts with sleeves even in the scorching sun?

Summer can be tough for women who are self-conscious about big arms -- you want to stay cool and look season appropriate, but you don't want to bring attention to your least favorite body part. Don't worry -- we're here to help you find clothes you love that also flatter your figure! Check out the gallery for some basic rules for ladies with larger arms.

Locher's perverted new spring collection

The new Locher's collection of blouses is out now, just in time for spring, and boy is it saucy as ever! French designer Nicole Locher created this naughty yet sweet line of embroidered tops and it's taken off like wildfire with sassy ladies around the world. These shirts may look ultra feminine and sweet at first glance (and they are!), but a closer look reveals a wonderfully perverted twist.

Simply Vera by Vera Wang: Spring 2008

Contrary to what the weather would lead us to believe, it's actually spring. And on that fine day, when the cold fronts that are brought on by these horrible thunderstorms finally cease, we'll be there -- to greet the warm sun in our favorite pair of over-priced sunglasses and possibly wearing a top or sun dress by Simply Vera.

First, things first: We were less than impressed with Vera Wang's diffusion line with Kohl's last season. The sizing was all out of whack and we didn't like the fact that the collection was geared towards our lovely but middle-aged mothers.

Sexy Original Valentine's Tees

Just in time for Valentine's Day, I came across this super sexy line of romantic t-shirts and one of a kind deconstructed vintage camis called Every Little Counts.

Los Angeles based designer Amy Snider creates this exclusive line of women's tops from her cozy hilltop apartment with the help of her husband, who she refers to as her "Master Screen-Printer". (How romantic indeed!)

Amy also creates some very snazzy reusable shopping bags, a perfect gift for your eco-minded boy or girl who's trying to go green instead of pink this V-day. And even better, everything in her shop is under $40!

Cool deal for sweater season

The holidays are great and all -- seeing family, celebrating with friends, blah blah blah. But the best thing about winter is undoubtedly the clothing. In the spring and summer you're stuck trying to look cool in whatever won't make you sweat, but in the colder months you have options.

Like this Armani Exchange ribbed wool sweater. The fitted, ribbed look is great, especially for broad-chested guys, but my favorite part is the kangaroo pockets -- a clever little addition, and a great way to keep your hands from turning into ice cubes.

And to top it off, the sweater is a steal at only $22.49. Buy it for yourself, or make up for the crappy Christmas present you gave your brother/boyfriend/spouse with a little belated holiday cheer.

Seasonal sweaters that don't suck

Ah, the holidays. The only time of year when you're forced to wear that freakish thing grandma knitted for you, or the shockingly ugly red and green sweater your Aunt Mildred gave you last Christmas. But never fear, not every festive garment is a total fashion disaster.

Take these Docker's sweaters at Kohls, for instance. None of them are adorned with Rudolph or Santa -- in fact, they aren't even Christmas colored. However, a subtle patterned look (like the argyle corduroy one in the photo), is a nice way to suggest (but not scream) holiday cheer.

Plus, these sweaters have recently been reduced from $50 to $29.99 -- just in time for your annual tour 'round the Christmas party circuit.
