While trolling through the Style.com fall 2008 accessory report (yes, already) we stumbled on this wacky silver, enamel and Murano glass ring by designer Delfina Deletrezz. It was love at first sight!

3Sixteen: T-shirts for royalty

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing, Men

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.

3Sixteen calls themselves "the new royalty" and backs it up with the following:

Royalty is a title that has traditionally been acquired through birthright, financial gain or military prowess. Since the beginning of time, rulers have sought to maintain their power at the expense of the common people, thereby perpetuating the neverending[sic] struggle between the haves and have-nots.

Damien Hirst designs for Levi's

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing, Jeans, Celebrities with Style

Damien Hirst's design for Levi's If you're not into modern art, you're probably thinking, "Damien who?"

Here's a quick rundown: Damien Hirst is a pretentious post-modern artist/oddball who cuts apart cows, puts the pieces in aquariums, and sticks 'em in a gallery. He's more-recently famous for creating a diamond-covered cast of a human skull priced at $99 million.

So what would a guy like this do with a pair of Levi's?

While you might expect something gruesome, gothic, or totally lame "avant garde," the artist's creation is actually fairly straightforward and, in my humble, non-artistic opinion, a pretty obvious choice. Hirst takes a normal pair of black denim jeans, and grafted them with little crystal skulls.

Um...great.

There's more to come at New York Fashion Week, but if this is any indication, I wouldn't hold your breath.

Skulls for seven days of the week

skull charm bikiniWe barely caught a glimpse of Kate Moss in Alexander McQueen's skull scarf, and perhaps the double whammy with the new Pirates movie, but suddenly the entire planet wants to wear skulls, whether it's a print on a fabric, or a charm on jewelry. Here are seven days of skulls just for us, dashing style.

Sunday - We know that the skull theme will likely go into fall, but you can certainly start easy in the summer. Relax by the pool on Sunday afternoon with a black bikini adorned with skull charms.

rocker skull tunicMonday - Back to the grind, but you can't get too crazy at the office. The Rocker tunic is just subtle enough to go into that meeting, but just creepy enough to keep that weirdo from accounting away from your desk.

Tuesday - LaRok's sheer crocheted skull tank here in black, but it also comes in a nude color called "dessert." Dessert?

dancing skulls necklaceWednesday - T. Cyia's Dancing Skulls necklace - the Opera length might be a little much (especially at $1100), but we're fine with the shorter version

paul frank skull teeThursday - Paul Frank is our friend, and though we love happy, smiling Julius the monkey, we're also loving a simple black t-shirt design called "Scurvy."

rock skull tankFriday - First it's happy hour, then off to the Sunset Strip for some rock and roll at The Whisky. Romeo and Juliet black ribbed skull tank, for the rocker chick in you.

rachel pally skull leggingsSaturday - Yeah, well we've seen these everywhere, and even though I am not a huge fan of leggings, let alone white ones, these are from Rachel Pally, current darling designer.
