Why aren't you wearing this? Marc Jacobs 'Daisy' Solid Perfume Ring

Do you ever worry, after dancing up a sweat with that hottie at the club, about how you smell? Wouldn't it be great to have a little something on your person that could spruce up your scent? Of course, there's no WAY you want to carry a whole bottle (even travel-sized) around in your purse all the time -- what if it spills?

Why aren't you wearing this? Smoky Quartz Ring

Oh, how we love a fabulous cocktail ring. It's such an easy way to add instant glamor to an outfit, and it just begs for you to make dramatic gestures with your hands while talking. And, while you can always get a fake ring, it's always nice to have something real tucked away in your jewelry box, too.

There is no greater love than geek love

By Jennifer FlumeGeeks are known to be socially awkward, especially when it comes to talking to members of the opposite sex. So, what is a geek to do once he or she is ready to pop the question? Well, if both sides of the couple happen to be geeks, things might be a little easier to manage.

Just take a look at these USB engagement rings by designer Jennifer Flume. The idea is that a couple can exchange lovey-dovey data with these flash drives. And yes, those are Swarovski Crystals. The rings also come with necklace chains, in case you're not particularly fond of wearing your thumb drive on your finger.

I love all the flash drive mods that have been appearing over the past year or so. The more creative, the better! I can't get too excited though, because this is just a design concept and isn't on the market. Until then, stay pasty, indoors and painfully anti-social, geeks.

Wearing vintage jewelry

Occasionally a lucky girl will stumble upon a happy piece of fabulous vintage jewelry. It might be a gift or something she found in a little shop -- either way, it's sure to be unique, and while it might not exemplify her day-to-day style, she's still drawn to it.

Then, said girl brings home the bauble only to realize, "Hey, I have nothing with which to wear this!" and then it sits in her jewelry box until it's really vintage.

Fantastic jewelry wants to be worn. It needs to be worn. Leaving an extraordinary piece all locked up is just cruel. If you are guilty of such cruelty (I know, you didn't mean it, you just didn't know what to do), here is my advice:

Wedding ring coffins, 'cause you'll probably get divorced

Marriage on the rocks? On the brink of a break-up with the man or woman you thought was the one and only? If so, you need the Wedding Ring Coffin.

Seriously, what else were you going to do with that fancy-schmancy rock? Unless you're some kind of saint, you're probably not giving it back, and hawking it down at the pawn shop would be far too depressing for someone who's relationship just blew up in their face.

You need healing. You need closure. You need to bury your wedding band in a cute little box shaped like a coffin!

Each coffin comes with a plaque inside that's engraved with a message like "Gone and Forgotten," and, for the truly mature, "I Do...NOT." If you're spiteful and creative, there's also the option of writing your own message -- so long as it's less than "3 lines of text with a maximum of 20 characters per line, including spaces."

At only $29.95, I'm sure this little treasure will cost significantly less than your divorce, and might make you feel better.

Rock on with a cocktail ring

I've been a fan of the cocktail ring for some time now, but Vogue's Style.com has introduced a new twist on the standard sparkly bauble. Instead of sporting a ring with the same old bling, consider something slightly understated and more natural. Gemstones like amethysts take on a whole new look when left in a raw state.

However, the raw, natural state isn't for everyone -- some of us prefer a ring with enough sparkle to be seen from miles away. I mean, what easier way is there to dress up a casual sweater and jeans than to slide some (fake) ice on the right hand and head out for dinner? Also, if you like to talk half as much as I do, it's always helpful to have something to assist you in making a point, and if you incorporate hand gestures into your pontification, this is practically like wearing a microphone.

Cocktail hour with Kenneth Jay Lane

kenneth jay lane cocktail rings

Breakout the nail file and polish girls because your hands are going to be the center of attention this fall/winter season. Cocktail rings are the must-have accessories for the holiday season, and with any cocktail (ring or beverage) -- the bigger the better.

Kenneth Jay Lane has become the leader of the pack when it comes to costume jewelry. He creates wild yet wearable designs with oversized gems and animal influences. It is safe to that Kenneth likes to make a statement and you will be rewarded with tons of compliments.

The Kenneth Jay Lane cocktail rings this season are quite dramatic and won't put a strain on your wallet with prices ranging from $49 to $145. You can purchase Kenneth Jay Lanes jewelry on Net-a-Porter and ShopBop.com. If $49 is too rich for your blood you can also find a variety of affordable cocktail rings at places like Forever 21 and other low-end boutiques.

Tiffany Novo, the newest bling

Just in time for all those thinking of proposing on Valentine's Day, Tiffany is unveiling a new engagement ring with a new diamond cut. The ring is already available in Japan and will be for sale in the US in February.

The Tiffany Novo is a solitaire set in four prongs. The center stone is a slightly squared cushion cut with a unique faceting to give it an updated look. The platinum shank is also laden with small pavé diamonds. As one of the posters on the Purse Forum board mentioned the diamond cut looks to be the same cut as the Square H & A. It's a nice compromise between a round brilliant and the princess cut which has sharper edges and can lack the fire of a round.

Nerdy-hip jewelry

azerty objects jewelryIf you embrace your inner geek as I do (I also embrace my outer geek, such is the breadth of my flaming nerdiness), you'll, doubtless, drool all over your computer (as I did) when you spy these funny and fabulous computer key rings fashioned from salvaged keyboards by Azerty Objects.

Maybe this is something like wearing your tech dweebishness on your sleeve (err, hand, rather), but if loving overt displays of Dork Style is wrong, I have to confess to you people, I just plain don't wanna be right.

Stylefoul: Too many diamonds on one ring

Can too many diamonds actually be a bad thing? Oh yes, it can. Case in point, the Dance of the Angel diamond ring. The ring sets a new record for the most diamonds, there are 837 diamonds stuffed on to this piece. The interesting part is that the total carat weight is only around 5.57 carats. This means that the average carat size is .0066 (although there are larger gems in the piece). It's not so attractive on its side but when viewed from the top it has an interesting swirling effect.

Ukraine's Lobortas & Karpova jewelry house is seeking to make the country a force to be reckoned with in the jewelry world. The company has some of the most unique jewelry designs I have ever seen with some of the most unique names. The House of the Rising Sun ring is a massive pagoda of jet, coral and diamonds and a ring called The Soul of the World, or Apparition of the Two Angels features a grape-like amethyst with gold and diamonds.

Smell my finger

John Hardy, a jewelry designer who lives in Bali is deeply inspired by the lush tropical landscape. His silver and gold designs reflect the local flora and fauna. He has taken this idea one step further with the Ayu Scented Ring, a silver and gold flower ring that opens to reveal a frangrance pad. The Ayu fragrance was created by John's wife Cynthia and has notes of champaca, tea rose and night jasmine. The flower part of the ring is removable so that the pad can be changed or refilled. The ring sells for $795. It's a beautiful ring but scented fingers seems like a waste to me (unless of course you talk with your hands alot).
