Guess what reality show surpassed all expectations with their second episode last night? Project Runway! After the premiere episode that practically put everyone to sleep, the producers of the show came back swinging last night (complete with Natalie Portman!).

This week, the roles were reversed and the designers had to take orders from their models. And the models, well, they were sent out to go pick out eco-friendly fabrics that would be made into cocktail dresses for this green challenge. As you can imagine, madness ensued at the fabric store and back at Parson's when the designer's nearly fainted at the sight of some of the god awful stuff (throw-up brown silk) the models brought back.

We think everyone can unanimously agree that last week's premiere episode of the fifth season of Project Runway was a tad bit on the boring side. We're not sure if it was because of the fact that the challenge had been done before (and better) or because the contestants didn't seem that interesting, but it took everything within us not to turn the channel after the first ten minutes.

However, we've never been known to quit something we've only recently just started. So we're hoping tonight's episode of Project Runway will be exponentially greater than last week's. And we have a strange feeling (wink) it just might.

Eco-friendly cheerleader, Natalie Portman, will be guest judging tonight's episode. Cool, right? We imagine the contestants will have to incorporate Natalie's vegan shoes into their looks. Those wondering what Sarah Jessica Parker is going to do now that Steve & Barry's is pretty much kaput and the Sex and The City sequel won't be in our theaters for at least another two years should look no further for their answer. SJP is hi-tailing it to Bravo to produce a -- get this -- reality show!

But the real kicker, it's not about fashion at all. No, Parker's show is about the art world. American Artist, as it's being called, will follow a group of aspiring contemporary artists as they compete each week for a gallery show, a cash prize, and a sponsored national tour.

After all of the drama that's been surrounding Project Runway for hi-tailing it to Los Angeles and Lifetime, the fifth season of the show finally debuted on Bravo last night.

Yes, boy and girls. Project Runway makes its triumphant return back to television this Wednesday night. Everyone: Yay!

While we'll all have to wait patiantly each week to see what kind of crazy shenanigans our beloved contestants will find themselves in this cycle, the people over at Bravo have already spilled the beans as to who is guest judging this season.

Cynthia Rowley, LL Cool J, RuPaul, Rachel Zoe, Francisco Costa, Brooke Shields, Diane Von Furstenberg, Sandra Bernhard, Apolo Ohno will all ham it up with Michael Kors, Heidi Klum, and Nina Garcia this season.

We imagine Francisco will teach the PYT about chic minimalistic design and Rachel Zoe will emphasize the importance of berry-colored nail polish and over-sized sunglasses. But who we really want to hear from is RuPaul. The episode that features him is going to be all sorts of fabulous and over-the-top, no? We can't wait!

I'm a die-hard Project Runway fan, so when I heard that former contestants Mychael Knight and Laura Bennett (pictured) were co-hosting an event, I jumped at the chance to go. Turns out the little soiree was thrown to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the weight loss drug Alli (which I do not take, btw), but hey – there's nothing wrong with a nice lunch and face time with Mychael!

Jai Rodriguez of Queer Eye fame played master of ceremonies while men and women regaled the audience with stories of their dramatic weight losses. After their inspiring tales, Mychael and Laura unveiled custom LBDs that they designed for four lucky ladies at the party who had collectively lost, like, a crazy amount of weight.

After the big reveal of the dresses I chatted with Mychael, and he gave me the scoop on what's new in his world. Mychael told me: "I'm still working on the fashion label, and trying to get into retailers, and I have a fragrance – it comes out maybe this summer. It's a unisex fragrance called MajK [pronounced Magic]. It's going to be forever my signature fragrance. It's beautiful, clean, crisp, and great for the summer." I also ate my lunch with Laura Bennett, and I can't really print anything that she said, because that girl swears like a sailor! Who knew?

Well, it looks like someone has finally found themselves a job.

After being fired from Elle magazine for never being in her office, Project Runway judge Nina Garcia has found a new home at Hearst Publications. Apparently -- rumor has it that she is extremely close to landing a job at Marie Claire.

In what could be one of the weirdest designer collaborations since streetwear brand Supreme hook-ed up with Kermit the frog, Project Runway season four winner Christian Siriano will be designing a line of prom dresses for a virtual community.

Um, yeah.

And the drama never stops over at the Project Runway camp.

It seems like every week we are inundated with more stories of hirings, firings, and betrayals from the former Bravo TV project.

The latest juicy rumor comes courtesy of WWD:

Apparently, Marie Claire, who is published by Hearst, wants to be the mag to publish Project Runways fashion spreads once the show's contract with Elle magazine expires after this upcoming fifth season.

However, a spokeswoman for Marie Claire would beg to differ, saying: "We think 'Project Runway' is a fantastic show, but to speculate at this point beyond season five would be, as [season four winner] Christian Siriano says, 'A hot mess!'"

No, boo. The switch from Bravo to Lifetime, which your parent company owns, was a "hot mess." But that's why we can't get enough of this little soap opera. Until tomorrow...

Though it could have been the start of a feud between Heidi Klum, host of the U.S.'s version of Project Runway and Iman, host of Canada's version, it appears that will not be the case.

Iman was recently quoted as saying that she has much more high fashion experience than Klum. Claws out, right? Well, when Heidi was asked about it at the launch of her line of jeans for Jordache at Bloomingdales, she responded by saying Iman was right. Huh? Is that the kind of behavior we expect from a supermodel?

And the love affair between Ugly Betty and Elle continues to flourish.

Today, WWD reports that Elle magazine's editor-in-chief Robbie Myers and creative director Joe Zee will be appearing the finale episode of Ugly Betty this season alongside supermodel Naomi Campbell, which depicts a charity softball game between Elle and Mode magazine. Campbell will play Elle's designated hitter.

Never fear, your favorites from Project Runway have not disappeared altogether. A season 3 favorite, Alison Kelly now has a very cool new project in the works -- a website called Atelierdahl which sells all made to measure clothing.

If you've ever had to wear a uniform at your job -- and let's face it most of us have -- you probably took away the same life lesson that we did: uniforms suck. Most of them look tacky, but even the rare uniform that doesn't combine horrendous color combos with checkers and stripes is still somehow just a little humiliating. It's like you're supposed to not feel cool.

We've always thought that the uniform is a management tactic to keep employees in their place, but apparently lots people think that corporations just need a little help from fashion professionals like Heidi Klum. Then, going to work in a uniform wouldn't suck. After Heidi challenged designers to rethink the uniform for US postal workers on Project Runway, she says that flight attendants, baristas, and cashiers are constantly asking her to do something about their horrible attire.
