OK. Oscar winner and former Chanel babe Nicole Kidman is pregnant. She's been so for a couple of months now. So we're kind of unsure as to why Vogue felt compelled to splash the "Pregnancy Update" cover line right under her chin on their July issue, but whatevs.

We caught some heat for pointing out that Angelina Jolie looked awful -- no really, just terrible -- in that grey dress at the Cannes premiere of her new film, Changeling, directed by Clint Eastwood.

That's fine. You're entitled to your opinions, and we love when you share them in the comments. Bring it on!

However, we also want to reiterate that our dismay was largely due to the fact that Angelina usually leads the pack when it comes to fashion fabulousness, even while pregnant.

Clearly it's not enough for Naomi Watts to be just an Oscar-nominated actress with a beautiful baby and a super-famous best friend. No, the King Kong and Funny Games star has designs on the modeling industry, too -- she has just been signed up as the first celebrity face of Thierry Mugler's Iconic Angel perfume.

Any eagle-eyed dress-watchers at the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute Gala Benefit in New York last week will have spotted the suitably angelic appearance of Watts' dress... of course, it was a Mugler design. Crafty.

Celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch hosted a charity event titled Night of a Thousand Lights. It was a fashion runway show held at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City. The proceeds went to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

As we mentioned earlier, the legendary Coco Chanel has two film biopics coming out this year that chronicle her life as the designer of the iconic Parisian fashion house that we've all come to know and love.

Shirley MacLaine will star in the television adaptation set to air on the Lifetime TV channel, which will follow Chanel's later years returning to Paris, after exiling herself in Germany and Switzerland during World War II.

Meanwhile, French actress Audrey Tautou has been tapped as the lead in the Chanel feature-length movie, Coco Avant Chanel. And according to a little rumor courtesy of WWD, Tautou may also be fronting the equally fabulous Chanel No.5 perfume campaign.

The Annual CMT Awards brought out a surprising variety of celebrities for their show this year. And as usual, it seems most country singers did not consult their stylist before hitting up the red carpet. There some hits, and a whole lot of misses. If you're pregnant and you're looking for some advice on what not to wear, look no further. Kristen already gave us the low down on how to play up your assets while you're expecting. Now I'll help you out with some blunders you should avoid.

There's a high price to pay for self tanning too much -- looking like an Oompa Loompa, and $70,000. Yep, you read that right. Although it sounds absolutely unreal, Lindsay Lohan spends $70,000 a year in fake tanning. That's more than a lot of people make -- and she throws that much down on her orange sunshine in a bottle annually.

Well, first of all, I want to say that's so unnecessary. We all love Lindsay's freckles. Plus, lots of pale ladies in Hollywood have made white skin in. Take Marcia Cross for instance. She is never on the set of Desperate Housewives without a big floppy hat or an umbrella. Liv Tyler works a black bikini with no tan like nobody's business. Nicole Kidman is envied for her porcelain skin. And I think Dita Von Teese actually uses foundation that makes her look a shade whiter than her natural skin color. All those women know that pale can be beautiful. Fake tan isn't the way to go.

Nicole Kidman is one of my favorite pale ladies in all of Hollywood. But, I wish she would own her skin color. Wearing a black dress when your skin is as white as snow can sometimes make one look rather witch-y.

I also wish she would own her pregnancy! Show it off Nicole! Every gossip blog out there knows you've been wanting to have biological children since back before you starting botoxing the life out of your forehead, had red hair and dated pre-couch jumping crazy Tom Cruise. And now Keith Urban's golden sperm has done the trick. You're finally knocked up, so give us what we've all been waiting for -- a glimpse of that little baby bump!

Honestly, there's not that much wrong with this dress. It's kind of an awkward length -- like someone accidentally hemmed it just an inch too short. And it's a little boring. The plain black looks sort of like a prom dress, I mean if it weren't worn with a ridiculous diamond necklace, which is most certainly worth more than my house. But, I can't really put my finger on what I don't like about Nicole's Oscar get-up. I think I just expected more from one of the most elegant women in the business.

Oh, the drama! Mariah Carey, in what can only be described as an unfortunate attempt to reinvent a fledgling career, has taken a part in the upcoming movie, Tennessee. Imagine Mariah's surprise when she got on set and discovered they didn't want her to be her ultra-glamorous self, but rather someone else. You know, like an actor.

More specifically, the costume people wanted Mariah to ugly-up with a schnoz and bushy eyebrows. The pop diva immediately called her people, and -- after being advised against the nose and 'brows by whoever she talked to -- refused to alter her appearance.

I'm sure Mariah said no because she thought looking ugly on screen would be bad for her career (or maybe she's just insecure). But does she really think people are too stupid to understand that she's wearing make-up? No one made fun of Nicole Kidman when she wore that enormous nose to play Virginia Wolf -- as a matter of fact, she got an Oscar!

So...am I missing something? Is Mariah being a crazy diva, or are her concerns justified?

In case you haven't noticed, it's fashion week, so all the designers and celebrities have come out to show what they've cooked up for fall (and to see what everyone else is wearing). Obviously, being a high-profile person gives you a kind of notoriety and power not normally afforded to models -- so it's not surprising that someone like Nicole Kidman, Mischa Barton or Katie Holmes would get big bucks to walk down the runway.

But why would they, when these celebrities can get paid tens of thousands of dollars just to show up.

In a recent article on Forbes.com, it was revealed that big designers hire "wranglers" who pay famous people to sit in the front rows of their fashion shows. That, in itself, isn't exactly insider information -- but what is surprising, is just how money these celebrities can get.

For instance, Katie Holmes would probably get $50,000 -- just to sit there -- while lesser stars like Kidman or Barton would get $25,000 to $40,000.

I have obviously chosen the wrong profession.

Alright, dolls. I know we're all in the middle of watching the golden statuettes being handed out, but you have to find something to do during the commercial breaks, right? We all have our own ideas about what makes someone a style icon. For me, it's some combination of a free spirited sense of what is flattering -- like Cate Blanchett. For other people, the criteria might be something as simple as always looking great -- like Nicole Kidman. A new video on YouTube, produced by P. Diddy and Burger King seems to have an all together different idea about the definition of style. In a generous assessment, the video suggests that style is really about "having it your way."

Don't get me wrong, P. Diddy is one stylish man, and I can't deny that they have a point about the relationship between "having it your way" and being a stylish person, but that doesn't answer my underlying question about this video.
