Crazy cravings: Shiseido Dick Page summer collection kit at Sephora

Maybe it's the magic words "limited edition" or that it has the word "summer" in the name, but we're totally having to fight the urge to spend $126 on this Shiseido make up kit.
Shiseido Artistic Director Dick Page put this palette together, and the description on Sephora.com is filled with glowy-this and shimmery-that. Plus the kit comes with blotting papers. And directions! So much neat new stuff to play with.
Be okay, we must admit that the yellow and green eyeshadows would probably look kind of scary on most people, including us.
Plus, we're pretty sure we can pick up bronzer, mascara, lipstick and a couple of kooky colored eyeshadows down at Walgreens for under $30. It wouldn't come in a neat-o case, but it might get us out of these early summer make up doldrums, and save $100.

There are plenty of reasons to make your own lip balm. It's healthier than the more chemically processed stuff. You know just what's going in. It's easy. It'll help you go easy on your dough stacks (or lack thereof). They make a great gift. Yada, yada, yada.
Most of us love the summertime – the sun, the beach, the warmth, the runny makeup... okay, so maybe we don't love

Many of us gals have been the victim of expired cosmetics. Here's the scenario. After seeing pics of that smokin' gloss we used to wear in high school, we rush to our beauty closet only to open the tube to a rank stank that we don't understand. Most beauty products do not have any smell, or if they do, it is very faint. If you start noticing some product BO, it's because that favorite gloss is dying a slow, bacteria-invested death in that dark, tightly sealed tube. Once the product has peaked, it can cause some pretty gross irritations or infections if used. To avoid all of the above, follow these general toss time guidelines.

Last year, supermodel Daria Werbowy signed a major contract with Lancome cosmetics. If that wasn't enough, the beauty company asked Daria to create a limited-edition three-piece makeup collection.
Richie Rich and Traver Rains -- the funky duo behind Heatherette -- broke many hearts when they didn't put on a proper runway production this season at New York Fashion Week.
