Naomi Campbell inspired Posh Spice to design jeans

Who better than a crazy spitting, cell phone throwing super model to inspire you to create fashion? Victoria Beckham has made a pair of jeans for her dVb line based off of Naomi Campbell's look.

Label yourself

Who are you? If you could define yourself in a word what would it be? Are you awesome (that's my label!)? Perhaps you are a geek or a jerk, or maybe you define yourself by your availability. You shouldn't, but maybe you do. What the hell do I know (other than I'm awesome!)?

The crew over at David and Goliath want to show the world what sums you up. They have a line of t-shirts that have one word or a small phrase that shares "you" with the rest of the world, or at least those whose line of sight you happen to cross.

Among the possibilities not shown below are "Booger," who was fantastic in Better Off Dead, and "Neato," which seems like a waste, why not just get the "Dork" shirt if you use the word "neato?" Also available is "Punk," which let's face it, makes you look more like Avril Lavigne than Sid Vicious.

Here are some others:

I must say, these shirts are much cooler than the last David and Goliath product featured here. I guess there was no place to go but up.

Sweden has more than IKEA: Get to know Lamilla

They've been called the next upcoming designers by some of Sweden's biggest magazines, and they have a hot collection to back it up. Lamija Suljevic and Gabomilla Nielsen's fashion label, LAMILLA, is edgy and raw and poised to strike it big. But how did LAMILLA come about?

Lamija and Gabomilla, who are both just 20 years old, met about five years ago in design school and immediately started sewing together. They started their label last summer after graduating and showed their first collection during Stockholm Fashion Week.

The spring/summer 2008 theme is 'porcelain nightmare,' exhibiting a contrast of smooth and raw, black and white, hard and soft materials. This is no surprise since the two designers have such different inspirations -- Lamija loves everything Parisian and antique while Gabomilla is inspired by fashion on the street and Asian movies. They keep a limited collection so they can continue to offer a luxury project to their customers, but by next month they hope to have online shopping available on their website.

Limited Brands jettisons their namesake

First Limited Brands ditched the Express brand now the company has agreed to sell 75 percent of The Limited clothing chain to buyout firm Sun Capital Partners Inc. The company won't get any cash for the deal, unlike their sale of Express where they picked up a cool $602 million. Instead the company expects to lose $42 million on the transaction. Apparently, they are just that desperate to get rid of the brand, which is plummeting in popular appeal, so that they can focus on Victoria's Secret and their bodycare lines such as Bath and Body Works and C.O. Bigelow which brought in most of the company's profit lately. Sun Capital will invest $50 million in the Limited stores and set up a $75 million credit line and the chain will stay open. Profits at The Limited dropped 10% last year and I suspect that if they don't improve they may need to close some stores.

Can The Limited be saved? What would make you go back to the store? Lower prices? A celebrity fronting a massive ad campaign, a collaboration with a hot designer? These things have all worked to some extent for other stores. The Limited does have a presence at malls all across the country, it's just a question of getting shoppers to notice them again.

Phoebe Philo: the brand

One year ago, Phoebe Philo resigned from her position as creative director at Chloe so that she could be a stay-at-home-mom. Since that time, Philo has popped in and out of the headlines with small projects such as her designer collaboration with the Gap. However, the most exciting Philo news is the rumor that British Vogue printed earlier today in which Phoebe Philo was said to be launching her own line of clothing! And as Vogue put it, it's not a question of "if", but a question of "when".

No doubt Phoebe Philo clothes will never fit into my modest clothing budget, but I'm nonetheless excited to see what she creates for her own label.
