Celebrity style at Cartier's Third Annual Loveday Celebration

Cartier held their third annual Loveday Celebration at a private residence in L.A. yesterday. The event also celebrated the launch of the Cartier Love Charity Bracelet. As with all celebrity events, here at Styledash we feel it's our duty to analyze what went down on the red carpet.

Crazy cravings: the Prada Fairy bag

Yeah, we're three months late to this party, but it took a little time for us to warm up to the cartoonish design on this Prada bag.

In other words, we had to see Hilary Duff carrying it before we realized that life would be so much better if we had $2,290 to blow on a trendy bag, and an inside connection at the Prada store to help us get our hands on this one.

Jewelry isn't enough for Paris Hilton and Britney Spears -- They need bling for their cars too

As if wearing millions of dollars worth of jewelry every day weren't enough already, celebrities are now starting to put bling on their cars.

A car jewelry (yes, you heard that right, I said car jewelry) company, License2Bling, has started manufacturing designs and license plate frames with Swarovski crystals embedded. In case you're worried about someone stealing your bling, you can even get special security screws to keep everything in place.

I think you'll be surprised at just how many stars own these products!

  • The Hilton sisters
  • Britney Spears
  • Kim Kardashian
  • Mya
  • Nicole Richie
  • Eva Longoria
  • Alicia Keyes
  • Jessica Simpson
  • Hilary Duff
  • Sanda Bullock
  • Jessica Alba
  • Jessica Biel
  • Lindsay Lohan
  • Kimberly Stewart
  • Scott Storch

Paris Hilton was the obvious one on the list. I mean, when she's not out committing crimes against fashion humanity like in the picture above, she's can be found buying bling for herself, her dog, her ferret, her plane, her house, whatever. Her pets probably all own more diamonds than I do. But, is anyone else a little shocked to see Sandra Bullock on the list? She seems so down to Earth. I really would never have pegged her as a car bling kind of girl.

For you patriotic boys and girls you can get an American flag with red, white and blue crystals. My grandma would love that. There's also a pink crystal breast cancer ribbon and even a Christian fish. Anyways, check out some of the License2Bling's products and tell me what you think! Would you ever put something like this on your car?

Hilary Duff is the new face of... Vaseline?

Hilary DuffWhen you think of high-profile brands that might use celebrities to pose with their products, you probably either think of fashion labels or huge multi-national conglomerates like Nike or Coca-Cola, which can afford to do whatever they want.

But the latest company to do a shoot with a sexy celeb is none other than Vaseline -- who've recently made Hilary Duff the face of their new ad campaign.

Explaining why she opted for a gig posing with petroleum jelly, the star told Just Jared: "Skin is a part of you, and you have to be proud of what you have. I feel comfortable in my own skin. Sometimes showing a little is fun. It makes me feel sexy and girly."

The next model I'd like to see make the leap to products from your medicine cabinet is Kate Moss. Especially in light of her nagging cocaine addiction, I think she'd be great in a campaign for Breathe Right Nasal Strips, or maybe Neti Pots.

Hilary Duff needs new earrings

I don't understand this Hilary Duff creature. I feel like she is a very confused "celebrity." I mean, she was great in Lizzie McGuire way back in the day -- but now it's like "Hilary who?" Is she is a singer? Judging by her latest performances I would say "heck no." Her lip synching skills are reminiscent of a Britney Spears (minus the kick butt Britney dance moves) Maybe she is an actress? Although I don't think Cheaper by the Dozen counts. Is she popular? Nah, not really. She is like a poor man's Lindsay Lohan. Young Hil' tried it all ... dated the older rock star boyfriend, she dabbled with the stick thin look, she even got a fancy new set of teeth ... but nothing stuck.

Now, Hilary is pulling a page from Nicole Richie's book and its called being spotted all over town in the same CC Skye accessory. This worked for Nicole last year when in every photo so was in had her rocking the CC Skye double wrap bracelet like a champ-- everyone wanted that bracelet, it was sold out and knocked off in a matter of months.

Unfortunately for Hilary, no one is fighting over those tired looking earrings.

Hilary Duff's black bob wig: yay or nay?

We here at Styledash like a good bob. Naomi Campbell, Anna Wintour, Rachel Alexander and yes, even Posh Spice have been known to successfully rock the deceptively simple classic haircut.

But bobs, like high heels and red lipstick, don't work on everyone.

Feast your eyes on exhibit A: Hilary Duff's black bob wig from her latest perfume commercial.

The picture might be a little grainy, but where this hair style goes wrong on Hilary still seems clear. The first problem is the color. Pale girls don't look right with black hair. Chestnut or Espresso, absolutely. But jet or licorice? No.

The second problem is that the bob is too short. Trust me, no one has worn a bob that cropped since 1922. To put that in perspective, in 1922 we still thought cigarettes were good for your health.

My last and final beef is perhaps over something that Hilary has little control over: her lack of neck. Short hair on a short neck is not a good idea. Too much of one proportion blows it.

Divas on parade, Hilary and J. Lo. at MTV

HIlary Duff and Jennifer Lopez both appeared on MTV's Total Request Live yesterday showing off two very different diva-licious looks. Hilary, who seems to have unleashed her inner bad girl after her breakup with that Good Charlotte guy, paired shorts with fishnet stockings, ankle boots, a black satiny top and a pair of J. Lo.-like big hoop earrings. Lopez on the other hand, channeled the 1980s, wearing skinny jeans, a vest, a pair of lethal looking platform shoes and her latest signature accessory, an armful of silver bangles. Who rocked it harder? Let me know your opinion in the comments.

Hillary Duff is another celebrity "designer"

hilary duff and barbieFor some reason, the idea that designers are creating lines for Barbie doesn't bother me as much as all the celebrities who think they have what it takes to design clothes. Maybe Justin Timberlake will do alright with his William Rast line. Maybe even Jaime Pressly. But David Hasselhoff? Oh yeah, I said "celebrities," so never mind.

Now the two are combining, Barbie and designing celebrities. Last week, Hilary Duff and Barbie decided to team up as Barbie Fashions Designed by Hilary Duff dolls and fashions. Barbie's Fashion Feve line of doll apparel and accessories is popular, so Fashions Designed by Hilary Duff is simply adding to the momentum. The collection fuses classic Barbie styling with street fashion and showcases many of this season's must-have looks.

Hilary has already designed 11 head-to-toe outfits for the doll. As if Barbie needed any more clothes.

Eau de Hilary Duff

Celebrities and their scents -- it's the new love and marriage, my friends. And following the footsteps of Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez, and Gwyneth Paltrow is another celeb who has thrown her hat into the perfume ring. This time, it's Hilary Duff, and the scent is "With Love...Hilary Duff." The perfume is available at Sephora for $25-55, just in case you're wondering how much smelling like Hilary Duff would set you back. And while I'm not so sure about the smell, which is described as "mossy woods", I do like the bottle, and for me, that's most of the appeal of a perfume in the first place.
