Tip of the day: Join the MiH denim revival

Remember those smokin' pictures of Farrah Fawcett, perfectly coiffed in a belly baring shirt and tight jeans? She was most likely wearing MiH Denim as were many other bombshells of yore like Jane Birkin and Lauren Bacall.

Now the company, which was started in 1969 as the Jean Machine and later renamed Made in Heaven, has re-invented 70's style flares to accommodate today's skinny, slim, wide leg, and ankle cut jean trends to name a few. Today, new "it" girls like the ever cool Keira Knightley and the always classy Gwyneth Paltrow are eating up these heavenly duds.

And bonus! The company also makes comfortable, roomy tops that are floaty and sophisticated.

You can buy these cool as hell jeans at places like ShopBop and the MiH website.

Gwyneth Paltrow wears Karl Lagerfeld's design for a good cause

Gwyneth Paltrow might have wowed us all during her Iron Man promos by wearing teeny, tiny dresses and giant heels, but the fashion-forward blond is getting ready to promote something else, this time wearing a t-shirt.

Gwyneth Paltrow's Vogue cover bombs

Poor Gwynnie. Her Vogue cover issue was their lowest selling issue of the entire year so far. Maybe that's because nobody realized it was a picture of her on the cover -- she was Photoshopped until she looked like a wax statue that just vaguely resembled Gwyneth Paltrow.

Fashion stunners in Cannes

Cannes brings out the best in celebrities. It's all about going man to man in old school red carpet elegance -- only the strong survive. The festival has been going on for about a week now, so we decided it's time to bring you our top picks for best dressed from the first few days of the festival.

Are women's backs pornographic?

The world is still freaking out after witnessing Miley Cyrus' nude shoulder blades -- which, in itself, is kind of understandable, as even non-prudish folk might balk at teenagers posing suggestively for fashion mags. But now there's news that people are raising hell over the naked backs of grown-up women -- calling them "explicit" and demanding that they be removed from public view.

This latest controversy surrounds some ads for K-Rock, a New York-based radio station, which show women with tattoos of rock bands across their bare shoulders. Offended citizens have complained to the radio station, and now the "scandal" is making headlines in the northeast. Subsequently fashion bloggers are up in arms, calling America's recent obsession with "back pornography" ridiculous and pleading with the country to chill out.

But should we? Personally, we don't see what all the fuss is about. However, you can check out the photos and judge for yourself.

What do high heels and 600 pound gorillas have in common?

There's no doubt that we love the way our legs look in extremely high heels -- put us in a 4" or 5" heel, and we'll show you legs that seem to go on forever, like our pal Gwyneth Paltrow over to the right. However, the New York Times recently had an article about the high, high heel and how women walk in them.

And, of course, the answer is the same as how one would move a 600 pound gorilla -- very carefully.

Ashton Kutcher's B-day party ends in disease scare

Guests who attended Ashton Kutcher's birthday party on Feb. 7th are being told to get themselves checked for Hepatitis. Held in the 'Socialista,' a New York club decked out to look like 40's Havana, it looks like party-goers might have left with more than just a Cuban cigar and a hangover.

The NY Board of Health has confirmed that a waitress at the event later tested positive for Hepatitis A. Officials aren't sure who gave it to her, but if I had to guess, I'd say that it was Madonna. Even Kutcher himself is being urged to go get himself checked out -- a screening for the all the partiers is set for today.

Guests included A-listers like Bruce Willis, Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna, Kate Hudson and, of course Demi Moore -- if this thing turns out to be an celebrity epidemic, it could mean disaster for the Oscars.

Of course, it could be a practical joke. Doesn't this kinda seem like an episode of Punk'd?

Trend alert: yoga for your face

Want to do away with some saggy spots and laugh lines on your face, but you don't really like the idea of surgeons rearranging your features or getting injected with toxic chemicals? There's a hot new trend out there that claims to revitalize your droopy face -- without going under the knife. It's called "Face Yoga" and it's all the rage at the NY Health and Racquet Club. Even Hollywood starlets like Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston are reportedly getting in on the action.

The pioneer of Face Yoga here in the US is most definitely Annelise Hagen. She wrote the book on Face Yoga -- I mean that literally, it's called The Yoga Face. Annelise claims that you can get rid of wrinkles and achieve a more youthful complexion by simply making idiotic faces in her yoga classes. For example, she has students do exercises such as holding their eyes wide open to combat crow's feet.

Does it work? Who knows, but it's got to be better than botox. Her book is on sale at Amazon, if you're into that whole reading thing. Rumor has it that reading gives you crow's feet though -- tough call.

Is that really Gwyneth on the cover of W?

Um, maybe there is something to that story of Gwyneth Paltrow using snake venom on her face. What else can explain September's W magazine cover? The perpetually pale and WASPy looking faux-English lass now looks like she's been spending secret time in Donatella Versace's private beauty palace. The spray tan, the giant brush brows and the blindingly white hair render her virtually unrecognizable. I understand the urge to try something new with your look sometimes, but appearing on the cover of a fashion magazine looking like La Cicciolina seems like an odd career move. I haven't seen all the contestants yet, but this is in the running for the worst of the September covers.

Gwyneth Paltrow treats her face with snake venom

That face was perfected with snake venomObviously the best part about being a celebrity is having money to burn. You can spend hundreds of dollars on the most asinine products -- like the caviar shampoo Catherine Zeta Jones uses on her hair, or the snake venom cream Gwyneth Paltrow rubs all over her face.

Now either Gwyneth is a particularly gullible person, or the salesman at the Sonya Dakkar spa in Beverly Hills is a very slick talker -- because I can't think of a product less-likely to be good for your face than one that contains venom from a poisonous snake. It's like whoever makes Ultra Lux 9 skincare products is simply trying to find the most seemingly rare and mysterious-sounding ingredients -- no matter how completely random and unhealthy they sound.

It's all fun and games until your faces breaks out in scales.

Gwyneth Paltrow's Red Carpet StyleFoul, Sarah's Rx

It wasn't horrible, but still, Gwyneth Paltrow's look at the Oscar's was not one of her better showings. Oh, okay, it was pretty horrible. I know that straight sleek hair was the trend on top, but it only really looks good if your lovely locks are sweeping bare shoulders, not that oddly stretched sheer salmon t-shirt top she was wearing.

I can't be sure if the color is right for Gwyneth. She's just a little too fair to wear anything in that range of peach to orange, but if it was the color that caught her eye, then I suggest she go with something that's a little darker, and more toward a pink hue rather than orange, like the center dress by Versace.

However, I am quite certain that Gwyneth is attached to her favorite designer Zac Posen, and would rather wear a different color from the same designer. In that case, i highly recommend the royal purple gown from the same collection. The dark-yet-bright color will look great against Gwyneth's fair skin, and the neckline is about, oh, I don't know, 100 times more flattering than the one she had.

And the fire engine red lips will go better with a purple dress.
