These shirts are Endangered

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.

We have just discovered what could possibly be our favorite t-shirt yet, which is really saying something. Really, it is.

EndangeredWear has brought together the timelessness that is the clever t-shirt with the shining awesomeness that is The Princess Bride. Classic.

They have other shirts, too:

I want that! Jenni Kayne shorts suit

We love Anne Hathaway. She stays far away from the hoopla that surrounds young Hollywood and has stated she has the aggression of a "tulip." To boot, she's got a great, classic style that is beyond her years.

The shorts suit that Anne wore to a recent Get Smart premier is the ideal blend of that old school glamor with a fresh, young twist. We're sure stylist Rachel Zoe would be proud – since, she, uh, probably picked it out for Anne.

No matter, we love it anyway so don't take offense! Kisses! Muah, muah!

Yes WSJ, Michelle Obama *is* our new fashion darling

The Wall Street Journal finally discovered our fashion crush on Michelle Obama. And clearly we have plenty of company. Following her appearance on The View (another secret love) women across the nation are flocking to White House/Black Market to buy the $148 dress Michelle wore on the show.

Like us, we're sure Michelle prefers to have her assets listed in this order: smart, funny and pretty. And that's how we'd describe her. She's wicked smart, and successful, and we can totally imagine being office buddies with her.

Goodie Two Sleeves: Humor you can wear

We love us some good funny. We also love a creative t-shirt. Put the two together and you're singing our song, or at least humming it.

The folks at Goodie Two Sleeves know the tune, and they are pretty good at carrying it.

No Star t-shirts shine bright

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.

No Star is a t-shirt company with a sense of humor and a mission. They want you to buy their shirts, but they also want to make you smile. Yes, that is their mission and it's needed more than many people realize. In fact, we're smiling right now, but that's because we're simple and a little bit drunk. Still, it's a start.

Attus Apparel, the guys that brought you these wonderful polos and current world record holder for the most popped collars worn at one time (23) have finally gone green. It was a long time coming.

T-Shirts for Mom!

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really (and he loves his momma!)

First of all, today is Mother's Day- have you called yours? We'll wait.

Okay, that was a close one. Now back to the matter at hand, the Mother's Day commemorative t-shirt. The good news is that the Internet is full of options for Mom, the bad news is that they are mostly crap. Actually, that's about the way it is for most things on the Internet. It's not personal, Mom. Here are some of the better prints:

Crazy Dog T-Shirts: They're crazy, Dawg

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.

Do you know what is missing from your prized collection of funny and clever t-shirts? "Shirts built by dog robots," that's what. Crazy Dog T-Shirts can help fill that void for you.

They believe that their shirts "are the most awesome t-shirts around. Junk Food t-shirts, funky t shirts and saved by the bell t-shirts." That's right, "Saved by the Bell" t-shirts (and other gems from the 80's).

It feels like forever since we featured funny t-shirts for the sake of funny. Actually, it's only been a few days, but we start to get the shakes if we don't get our fix. We usually get chocolate, although a classic vanilla shake is hard to beat.

Road Kill T-Shirts because sometimes gross is funny

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.

We like to keep a nice balance here in the land of t-shirts. One day we may offer something highbrow, and the next day we might blindside you with crude and unacceptable behavior- you know, fun stuff.

Today we're talking about Road Kill T-Shirts, whose motto is "We beat them all." Guess which category they fit in.

Make some noise with these funny t-shirts

I've been getting rather high-brow lately with regard to t-shirts and their being a canvas that delivers art to the masses. Sure, it's true, but sometimes a t-shirt is just a t-shirt. I mean that in the nicest way.

NoiseBot understand this. They aren't trying to encourage people to read Tolstoy, they want people to watch LOST and link unsuspecting readers to incredible websites. They make t-shirts the way they were meant to be, bright, silly, obnoxious and kind of funny.

The company is ran by some self-described crazy kids in their 20's that stay up too late, ride buses and love Taco Bell. They love what they do and it shows. You can show it, too. Each design is available in a number of t-shirt colors for $20.95, on a hoodie for $35.95, or a tote for $15.95. They make great gifts and offer a few laughs. What's not to love?

It's okay to wear a funny shirt

Sometimes you just need a funny shirt. Maybe you want to show your sense of irony or appreciation of pop culture. Maybe you like puns and politics. It's okay. Take a deep breath and relax. I'm telling you that it's alright. Really.

Busted Tees can help. Listen to them:

Busted Tees opened in March, 2004 and is entirely run by the guys from CollegeHumor.com. We decided to start making T-shirts because we want people to have fun, laugh, look good, feel comfortable, get good jobs, get sweaty dancing, and go home with someone who also did those things.

See? You like fun, right? What about laughing, looking good and feeling comfortable? You can do those things. To be honest, I don't think there are too many good jobs that will embrace the funny shirt, at least not at the interview, but sweaty? Definitely. The going home with someone? Probably not.

The funny shirt is acceptable (in some situations) and don't worry, people will still like you (give or take a few).

Really.

Finally, a good Easter shirt

I don't know how many times I've spent Easter morning dressed like some banker in a short-sleeved business shirt and a clip-on tie, looking for eggs and hoping that the Peeps didn't have E.coli (they don't). Of course that was when I was a kid (early 20's).

Nowadays I'm more likely to be sitting on the couch in my boxers and asking the kids to hunt Daddy another beer that the bunny hid in the icebox. Oh, family traditions.

No more. Thanks to the good folks at Snorg Tees I will once again be dressed on Easter Sunday, but this time with style.

The My Butt Hurts (16.95) (ladies) t-shirt brings forth a very delicate matter often overshadowed during the Easter season, "the perils of life as a chocolate bunny" (from website). What strikes me as, well, striking, is that the perils of the candy bunny seem disturbingly similar to those suffered by the Playboy Bunny, except for the ears part. Freaky, isn't it?

If Easter isn't your thing, or if you're just greedy, here are some other fine shirts from Snorg Tees:

Xpose yourself

If there's one thing that makes a person truly stylish, it's the ability to laugh at yourself. It can be hard to do in an industry that has a bad habit of taking itself really seriously -- but with the right accessories, you can find ways to make a clever joke while still looking super-cool.

Take Xposed baggage, for instance. I love the concept, I love the look, and I love the price ($7.99 to $11.99!). While I imagine the joke might be lost on a TSA agent at the airport (especially considering that gun), you're sure to get a grin out of the checkout person at your local supermarket. That said, there's also a shoulder travel bag (with airport-friendly imagery), and a cosmetic bag (just to mess with the other ladies in the restroom).

Go on, live a little.
