Do a quick Google search of Sean Avery and you'll find little about his involvement in the fashion world. Instead, the results come back full of stories about him being involved with the Elliot Spitzer prostitute scandal, his controversial tactics in the NHL and his feuds with his hockey teammates and coaches. He doesn't seem to be a very well-liked man. But, the people at Vogue are cool with all that. 
Madonna is a bra-burning, blasphemous crucifix mounting sort of a feminist. So nothing about this story really surprises us. Madonna used her maiden name to buy a $7 million dollar Central Park apartment in N.Y.C., which just adds fuel to the fire -- are she and Guy Ritchie and the rocks?
Did we fall asleep and dream ourselves back into the 90's when Claire Danes was the envy of teenage girls for kissing Leo DiCaprio in Romeo and Juliet and hanging out with dreamy Jordan every day on My So Called Life? We're not sure, but apparently Miss Danes is still celebrity enough 
Lauren Conrad has said that designing is all she ever wanted to do. So Miss LC must have been thrilled to be chosen as UsWeekly's celebrity designer of the year.
