You know that moment right before you're about to have sex, when it occurs to you that your condoms are in your pants, which are halfway across the room? Bummer, right? Nothing kills the mood quite like: "Er, excuse me for a second, I need to go rummage for my condoms. Be right back!"

Fortunately some Swedish high school students have solved that problem, and invented a pair of underwear that has a sewn-in "condom pocket." The local government thought this idea was so ingenious that the boys were given a Young Enterprise award.

Of course, these sex-hungry Swedes aren't the first to have thought of adding a condom pouch to your skivvies. In fact both men and women have a wide variety of options to choose from. Now this is what I'm talking about. Condoms have finally moved from behind the counter at your local gas station (or tucked away by the "sanitary" products at your local drug store) and into the fashion world where they belong. Because seriously, aren't looking good and having sex supposed to go hand in hand?

These super-sleek new prophylactics are being promoted by New York City in an effort to get its citizens to do a better job protecting the goods -- but what's even cooler, is the design of the condom dispenser. Created by Fuseproject, this nifty-looking wall-hanging wouldn't look all that out of place as modern home decor. However, it was actually designed to be "reminiscent of a condom shape warped into the surface of one's leather wallet," and "helps create an air of openness and acceptance, thus removing the stigma of the condom as something to be ashamed of."

It's so cool looking that you'll want to grab a few condoms even when you aren't getting any.

Have you ever stopped and thought: "what do the condoms I buy say about who I am?" You already drop $60 on a haircut, and $150 on designer jeans -- obviously you're trying to impress somebody. So, with that in mind, shouldn't you be more concerned with your prophylactics?

Next time you're in China, you'll notice they've already figured this out. When your average Chinese dude is at the corner drugstore picking up a little protection, he doesn't have to decide between boring old Durex, Trojan, or some lame generic brand -- instead, he can wear condoms adorned by the most fashionable man on the planet!

That's right -- David Beckham condoms. And apparently ladies are drawn to the love gloves featuring the international soccer star. They're fake, obviously -- and are in no way supported by Beckham himself. But, nevertheless, these shady prophylactics are now the top selling condoms in China.

It's about time. Next I'd like to see designer condoms. Gucci, Prada, Tommy Hilfiger. Seriously, I bet they'd make a killing.

Condoms, already one of the world's most useful products, are finding yet another way to work themselves into your life -- this time as clothing.

No longer merely a prophylactic, the latex products were recently featured at a fashion show sponsored by the 4th China Reproductive Health new Technologies & Products Expo. Models strutted up and down the catwalk in outfits constructed entirely of condoms, including bikinis, mini-dresses, suits -- even wedding dresses.

OK, so you probably won't see these on the racks of your local lifestyle boutique anytime soon, but these stylish garments are a nice reminder that wearing condoms is cool.
