Nicole Kidman covers July Vogue

OK. Oscar winner and former Chanel babe Nicole Kidman is pregnant. She's been so for a couple of months now. So we're kind of unsure as to why Vogue felt compelled to splash the "Pregnancy Update" cover line right under her chin on their July issue, but whatevs.

BUMP: T-shirts for bellies

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.

Dads don't get a whole lot of respect. We know this and we feel the pain. We blame Michael Keaton.

That is why our discovery of BUMP was such a surprise. BUMP, in the case of this Australian company, is actually an acronym for Babies Under Manufacturing Process. They carry an array of t-shirts geared towards the belly, be it the blossoming baby bump or the sympathy (and/or beer) filled gut on the dad-to-be.

Bondi Swim: the swimsuits to be seen in

Unless you look like Angelina Jolie circa 1999, it can be hard to get excited about swimsuits, and exposing so much naked flesh to the beach/world. But if we did get worked up about hot new swimwear, we would be tipping designers Damion Fuller and Fern Levack (aka: design house Hot Bondi Swim) as the people to watch.

The talented Aussie couple showed their swimwear designs at Rosemount Australian fashion week for the first time this year, and to their surprise, they have been asked to show in Miami in July as well -- one of only twenty design teams to receive an invite. "My immediate reaction was to pour a good stiff drink!" Fuller told Australian Vogue.

eBay WTF of the Day: Toad bag

Ribbit.WTF? Toad bag? Don't you mean "tote bag?" This is crazy talk.

This is not a "tote" bag. No. This is a toad bag. From Australia. Like Fosters pretends to be.

Has anyone ever looked at a toad and thought "mmmm...handbag?" WTF?

Is 14 too young to walk in a fashion show?

It's Fashion Week in Australia (AFW) and there is a scandale brewing down under about underage models.

Billed as the next big thing, 14 year old Polish model, Monika Jagaciak, aka Jak, is walking in her first show at AFW. Like all school age models, Jak was required to get a note from her parents and her school principal that said she was allowed to miss school.

Even with this explicit permission, people are still up in arms that this type of "career" exploits and overly sexualizes very young girls.

Well, duh.

Bend it like Bindi

Little Bindi Irwin is taking steps that her father the Crocodile Hunter would be proud of. First she had her own animal show and subsequent videos, and now she has her own line of clothing. Crikey.

Her new clothing line Bindi Wear International, which she started with her mom Terri, features slogans coined by Bindi as well as colors that she helped pick out, much of the work being done during her lunch breaks at school.

Gallery: Bindi Wear

I can't believe I wasted my lunch breaks eating. I could have been somebody.

If you think this is it for Bindi, you're sadly mistaken.

"Hopefully maybe I can be president or prime minister."

"In America they are looking for the next president and I've listened to everybody and, nothing against them, but they are talking about jobs, houses, developments, money, money and more money and there is nothing about conservation.

"I haven't heard anything about that. "We really do need to start doing something - we can't eat money in the long run."

She's right. I swallowed a nickel once and it wasn't good,

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman launch clothing line

Not content with just creating a little person inside her womb, Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban have decided to launch a clothing line called Hank Evie, named for the nicknames they call each other.

Yeah, I have no idea where those nicknames came from, either.

Urban already trademarked the name in the United States and Australia. Currently, only concert t-shirts are being sold under the label, but the couple intends to add pajamas, boxers, and belt buckles to the collection. It is this blogger's assumption that the clothing for the women will be wrinkle-free and the clothing for the men will have unfortunately placed, straw colored streaks.

We might not be seeing Hank Evie at Fashion Week anytime soon, but that might be okay. The duo has confirmed that they will be welcoming an even more highly-anticipated creation before too long, though no word has been given on when.

I would wear these Uggs

uggs dunwich bootI know.

I have bashed Uggs harder than the Fugly girls pick on Paris. I've wished them a painful death. I have gasped at the sight of their crotchety crocheted cousin. Uggs. Ugh.

I know.

However, if someone told me that I absolutely had to wear a pair of Uggs or else lose access to the Internet, I would crumble, but only if they were the Dunwich Boot. Uggs' sleek and slightly more sophisticated older sibling is a 16" tall, suede boot with a leather vamp, leather strap and buckle detail at the ankle, rubber (comfort!) sole, and 1" heel. It still has the soft comfort feel that has made Uggs popular, the shearling lining.

The Dunwich Boot is $250 at ShopBop.

Alpacas on the runway?

Two fuzzy alpacas strutted their stuff down the catwalk during a Shanghai Fashion Week show. Quangquang and Lili traveled 20 hours from a province in southern China to make their grand appearance during a presentation of Australian fashion. The alpacas were led by two models in a parade of luxury items from the Australian Alpaca Connections label. Apparently, there is an incredible demand for Alpaca products in China.

That must be good news for the Australian alpaca farmers. Unfortunately, the same thing can't be said for the Australian sheep wool farmers. Australian wool has recently come under fire after Australian Prime Minister John Howard received a letter from American designer Marc Bouwer announcing his ban on the exported material.

Geeze, alpacas in fashion shows and high-profile wool bans? Who would have thought that the Australian wool industry would be generating so much buzz?

Haul your laptop in a Billboard Bag

haul billboard bagsThese bags by Haul are super cool because not only are they stylish one-of-a-kind designs, but the bags are also eco-aware. They're called "billboard bags" because they are made from PVC vinyl billboards that have been recycled into bags. The bags are lined with a second layer of billboard to make them sturdy enough to protect your laptop, and are coated with some sort of UV protectant. Because they are made from actual billboards, they have small scuffs, fades, wrinkles, and no two bags look the same. They cost $195 AUD, which is about $146 US.

More model behavior

As long as there are models, there will be model crimes. Naomi Campbell beats her domestic employees and assistants, and Beverly Peele steals credit cards.

Now another model has joined this notorious crew. Australian model Edwina Nattrass, who is the daughter of a Perth Lord Mayor Peter Nattrass (yeah, I didn't know who he was either), was recently accused of shoplifting pies from a supermarket.

Yes, you read that correctly: pies. (Like the kind you eat for dessert -- not that there is any other kind) According to reports, Nattrass nicked two pies from an IGA by shoving them in her handbag.

Oh models! So lovely and yet so dumb!
