On Christmas Eve, model Julissa Mercedes was arrested for trying to transport nearly three pounds of swallowed cocaine into Sicily. A body scan revealed that Mercedes had 98 bags of the illicit drug in her stomach, an amount that was worth nearly $2 million on the street. According to police reports, the model was paid $5,500 to act as a drug mule for the Mafia.

Mercedes initially denied the charges but she later confessed before the police performed the body scan. Should Mercedes be found guilty, she could face up to 20 years in prison.

Those of you who have been waiting with baited breath to see if supermodel Naomi Campbell would be found guilty of assault, I have good news. On December 13, the leggy British model was found not guilty of assaulting her former housekeeper Ana Scolavino. Of course, Campbell isn't completely off the hook since she was also recently accused of assault and battery by her former maid Gaby Gibson.

If the legal system isn't going to do something about Campbell's behavior (she's been found not guilty several times before) maybe we should take matters into our own hands. If all the personal assistants, domestic workers and maids in London refused to work for her maybe then she would be forced to recognize the error of her ways. And if she didn't, at least the world would get to take some delight in the thought of Campbell having to wash her own dirty laundry.
