Flatter Your Figure: Elongating a Short Torso

Most of us have things about our bodies we'd like to change -- you know, the grass is always greener anywhere but here, right? One of the important things to keep in mind when we're figuring out how to best disguise our least favorite body part is that there are other body parts that we do like, and so instead of just disguising, we want to look at how to draw attention elsewhere.
If your problem is a short torso, chances are that you have fairly long legs. While you don't want to wear teeny-tiny shorts around all the time to show off how long they are, keep them in mind while you shop, and don't be afraid to flaunt what you have. Already thinking of Spring? I certainly am and am looking forward to the first warm (dry) day I can wear something as fresh and cute as the Buonissimo Swirl dress from Nanette Lepore.
