Annie Leibowitz gives us a live, nude Daniel Radcliffe

Annie Leibowitz, unbowed by the continuing controversy over the nude (but really, so chaste) Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photo, is back with more teenage skin shots!

Her latest subject is the exhibitionist Daniel Radcliffe. There are no modesty sheets for Harry Potter, he's ready for full frontal, thanks very much. With a horse. And his Uncle Vernon!

Invisible clothing, do you own any?

Here's something from the weird, but strangely awesome file:

Recent reports suggest that scientists may be very close to creating the proper materials needed to make a real-life invisibility cloak. We know, Harry Potter fans across the globe are totally losing their s*** right now. Apparently, researchers have been able thus far "to cloak three-dimensional objects using artificially engineered materials that redirect light around the objects."

In the past, scientists could only make two-dimensional objects temporarily disappear. While we would use the invisibility cloak whenever we didn't have anymore clean laundry, the science community has a much more important mission for their new invention: military operations. Hopefully, soldiers may one day be able to sneak up on their enemies without them being the wiser. Very cool, no?

Dress like Goats, it's fun!

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.

What, you may ask, does a goat wear? To which we would reply, it depends where it's going. Are we talking business casual? Then, after we were all done laughing and things started to turn a little awkward we'd add, we're not talking about real goats, dummy.
No, we aren't. We're talking about Goats the comic strip by Jonathan Rosenberg and the subsequent line of t-shirts that it spawned.

Emma Watson lands major Chanel deal

Not only is Emma Watson the cleverest witch of her age in the Harry Potter movies, but she's also apparently an awfully clever young actress. According to the Daily Mail, the 18-year-old has landed a £3 million deal with Chanel.

Emma, who recently signed up with the modeling agency Storm will take over for Keira Knightly as the new face of Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle fragrance. Chanel has been dressing the young starlet for premieres and parties over the last few months and is now apparently convinced that the actress best known for her role as Hermione Granger wears the brand elegantly enough to represent it.

Harry Potter Head to Toe: Dressing up for film and book release parties

HP Head to ToeJuly 2007 is the ultimate month for Harry Potter. Not only is the fifth film coming out on July 11, but the final book of the series will hit bookshelves on July 21. As someone who grew up with these characters, I am incredibly excited for all the upcoming events. In fact, my friends and I have already bought our midnight tickets to a special Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix IMAX 3D showing and we intend to attend release parties at as many bookstores as possible. And yes, we will dress up, but we will do it very carefully.

See, anyone not under the age of eighteen is probably a little too old to dress as their favorite characters without looking completely stupid. Well, fear not fellow over-eighteen Harry Potter geeks! I have created a guide to help you show your HP love as well as maintain some semblance of dignity at the same time. This is based mainly on the female version of the ever-popular Hogwarts student uniform, so if you're hoping to dress as a lady-Hagrid or a centaur, I'm afraid you will have to look elsewhere.

Harry Potter, fashion icon?

Amidst all the hype for both the fifth Harry Potter movie, and the series' final novel, you'd expect to see Harry, Ron and Hermione's faces plastered all over the place -- but do they belong in style magazines?

Teen Vogue thinks so, as they featured the trio in what looked more like a fashion shoot than a movie promo. The magazine even created a "special fashion timeline" so you can see how the star's style evolved over the years -- both on screen and off.

And the Brisbane Times tells us that Potter-inspired fashion has infiltrated the muggle world in a number of ways. The first big impact Harry had on the fashion scene was making small, round spectacles cool again; and now the whole cast is influencing the recent "geek chic" trend, with their preppie, boarding school attire. Capes and hooded robes have also been spotted on runways this season.

Personally, I think it might be the other way around -- that pop-culture fashion has influenced both the actors and the costume designs for their characters -- but who knows? Maybe the magic of Harry Potter really is taking over the world -- one fashionista at a time.
