A Full Behind is Easy

love my bubblesIt's not a problem we usually deal with, but it's come to our attention that some ladies need a little help filling out the caboose of their pencil skirts and skinny jeans.

Sad but true.

Lucky for all of us -- no one wants to have or see a pancake butt -- there are plenty of relatively inexpensive, non-surgical solutions. At Love My Bubbles you can find a complete range of padded panties that give you an extra 1/2", 3/4" or even a full 1" of added lift, roundness and asstastickness.

If you're all Nicole (Richie or Kidman, they're both stick figures) and dream of being Kim (Kardashian, of course) then dry your tears and ask Santa for a pair of stuffed panties. He'll know just to bring you!

Filed under: Accessories, Hair Care, Must Haves

fun hairbrush from Jenny's Gifts and Fine ArtHow much fun is this hairbrush? We know, we know... "hairbrush" and "fun" don't usually go together in the same sentence, but we think these brushes are worthy of breaking that rule. We especially love the "Vixen" and "Femme Fatale" models, but there are so many other designs to choose from as well. These brushes would make such great gifts, and can you imagine the conversations you would start if you whipped one of these babies out of your purse? Father's Day Gift Guide: for the gardener

Got a dad that -- for some inexplicable reason -- loves to do yard work? Every Saturday from sunup to sundown, he's out there clipping and pruning and -- generally just digging randomly in the dirt to avoid the rest of the family? Here's a neat little contraption that will save dad from having to run back and forth to the garage every 10 minutes to rummage around in the old tool box.

A multi-tool might not be what you use to rebuild your 60's muscle car, but when you're doing chores around the house -- it's really nice to have everything you need hanging on your belt. That's why we love Leatherman tools. Plus, tools are a gift that always seem to stroke the male ego. This deluxe pair of pruning shears is equipped with a knife, hand saw, phillips-head screwdriver, flat-head screwdriver, and of course, the classic bottle opener (dad's gotta have a way to get those imported beers open). On sale for $60, it's a little more affordable than that Chanel fly-fishing rod.

Father's Day Gift Guide - For the master of the cocktail hour

There are the beer and BBQ Dads, and there there are the cocktail dudes.

Some are true innovators with the cocktail shaker, coming up with new combinations of bitters, gin and collins mixer at every family gathering. Others are more restrained, enjoying a sedate glass of Cabernet with steak and asparagus.

If you have a Dad who loves to relax with a stemmed glass, and says things like, "It's after 5pm somewhere!" then we have some ideas for gifts that will make his day special.

Gardening gifts for Mom that will last longer than a dozen roses

For a lot of us, flowers are a go-to gift on Mother's Day. Sadly, that beautiful bouquet is quickly gone, and your wonderful Mom is left without a lasting reminder of how much you love her.

Feeling guilty? Well, a little shopping therapy can help with that. You still have plenty of time to get out there and pick up something a little more substantial.

Subversive cross stitch

Filed under: Holiday Style, Haute Home, Accessories

Quaint and direct.
Cross stitch has gone subversive. And not a moment too soon.

subversive: a systematic attempt to overthrow or undermine a government or political system by persons working secretly from within.

Are you as excited about this as I am? My knees are bouncing under my desk.

On the website, you can buy kits for designs that say things from "TRUTHINESS" to "Don't Make Me Cut You". I can just imagine myself relaxing on the couch in front of The Soup and stitching, and my roommate coming in and saying:
Roommate: Whatcha doin', Annie?
Annie: Just some cross stitch.
Roommate: Oh, that's so quaint and adorable! What's it say?
Annie: "Life Sucks, Then You Die."

The website sells a book, a calendar, and note cards, and has an extensive How-To section. Knitting is so passe. I'm talking to you, Julia Roberts.
