Palin's sexy librarian glasses spark interest in eyewear
Filed under: Accessories, Celebrities with Style
Out of all the colorful remarks about pitbulls and lipstick from Sarah Palin's speech last week at the Republican National Convention, it seems that her fashion statements may have spoken just as loud as her words. Not only has she become the flavor of the month in the political thong industry, her choice of eyewear has apparently caught on with the women of America. Her frames, the work of Japanese eyewear designer Kazuo Kawasaki, are selling out all over the country. In the wake of her momentous prime time debut, optometrists all over the US are getting inquiries from women who want a pair of those "Sarah Palin glasses." The titanium frames, now achieving cult status, start at around $375 and they're part of Kawasaki's 704 series. If you really want to get exact, Palin's wears the 34 grey style.
Aside from the fact that the glasses were worn by a media sensation, Kawasaki's frames stand on their own merits: they're sleek and the rimless design allows for almost infinite lens shapes.

It's true that when it comes to fashion guys really don't have as many options as we do. As females we can vary our outfits with shoes, makeup and accessories galore. Sure, men have footwear too. But, honestly, how many pairs of black or brown dress shoes can a guy really own? That's why fun eyewear is a great way for a man to give that little somethin' extra to his look.
It's so money it doesn't even know it.
I have to admit, I have a pretty serious collection of sunglasses, but hey -- I live in the south and it's always sunny! And eye health is important, y'all! Plus, almost all of them are really pretty.
