On Location for Ed Hardy at Miami Fashion Week Swim

Michael Buckner is a fashion and celebrity photographer who travels around the world taking pictures on the red carpet. He gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the hottest entertainment industry events.

Christian Audigier isn't quite fashion forward or even close to couture. The French designer has been pumping out screen print T-shirts, dresses, shoes and swimsuits which top out at well over $200. Since Ed Hardy's inception in 2004, the apparel has spread from flashy, skull prints to... skully flash prints.

But what Christian Audigier has succeeded in the most is making his mark in niche clothing, which covers the backs and butts of millions in huge cities like Las Vegas, Los Angeles and of course, South Beach, Miami. Club goers wait in line in style with Ed Hardy nightly on the A1A.

I went to a press event before the shows started yesterday to take a preview of what the runway was about to see. Two models, one designer and thirty hungry Miami photographers.

The show was so overcrowded that they wouldn't even let me into the show to shoot (and I'm working for the management company). Rock and Roll shook the walls of the hotels as the show was going on. I looked at my fellow photographers take. There was a ton of looks.

I posted my favorite pictures from the event in the below gallery. I'm gonna post a couple more shows later, but it's 1:30 in the morning, and I've got to catch some sleep.

Michael Jackson working on a clothing line with a top designer

Michael Jackson and Christian Audigier seem to be an unlikely pair. But, the unthinkable has happened and the two are getting together to do a collaboration on a clothing line.

Celebs love Ed Hardy swimwear

Ed Hardy swimwear is dreamy. But his bathing suits are definitely not one of those items of clothing that "anyone can wear." Oh no, you have to have the body of a goddess to pull these babies off. Which is probably why celebrities love them. They know they're in an exclusive category.

Britney Spears to design a line with Christian Audigier

Can you believe it?!? Britney Spears is going to do a fashion line. Who in the world would give this train wreck her own line?

Believe it or not, renowned designer Christian Audigier is going to be collaborating with Britney to design her own line. He also does Ed Hardy, Christian Audigier, SMET, Paco Chicano, CbarA, and Crystal Rock.

We really don't understand this -- even when she was sane she wasn't a great dresser. Let's not even talk about recent wardrobe mishaps!

Ed Hardy Fall 2007 at LA Fashion Week

ed hardy fall 2007 la fashion week
Don't think that the only excitement at the Ed Hardy Fall 2007 Collection runway show at LA Fashion Week was Janice Dickinson getting kicked out then banned from all future Fashion Weeks. The Ed Hardy show itself was quite a sight. The runway was colored in hot pinkish red (totally reminds me of Betsey Johnson), there were colorful balloons, and the line's name glowed neon at the back. It was the perfect backdrop, of course, to a show that was all about trailer trashy tattooed punk rocker-goes-to-the carnival. All the knit and sportswear that designer Christian Audigier showed was bright, colorful, and featured circus animals like tigers, and a fake python wrapped around a model's neck. Men's clothing didn't seem quite as outrageous as the women's, though there was definitely some attitude with models ripping open their t-shirts and giving the finger at the end of the catwalk.
