And what good with this gorgeous dress be without a pair of Christian Loub's? *sigh* If only we had Heidi's bod...

At a recent event Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere wore a pretty rose pink Herve Leger dress with gold Christian Loub's. Hayden knows that the key to a sophisticated style is to play it by the "less is more" rule which she does flawlessly here. We <3 this!

Class, work, doctors appointments - none of these could ever get me out of bed early, but the Christian Louboutin sample sale did. I, and three friends, got ready by 7 a.m in the morning to head to mid-town Manhattan where the invitation only sale took place. Believe it or not -- we weren't the first ones there. By 10 a.m the line wrapped around the block.

I want that! Missoni dress

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing, Dresses, Celebrities with Style, Get the Look

Cameron Diaz wowed a crowd full of crazy kids at the Nickelodeon's 2008 Kid's Choice Awards. When she arrived, she paired her playful Missoni dress with a cute little short sleeved cardigan, red clutch, and patent wedges by shoe master Christian Louboutin. Simple gold earrings and a big turquoise cocktail ring, a Cameron signature, rounded out the accessories.

Upon winning, we could all see that the dress got a sexy makeover when Cameron shrugged off her cardigan and let her shoulders show. However, even while showing a little skin, the dress still kept with the smiley attitude Cameron is so known for.

Check out more of the details.

Oprah gives away Louboutins

Filed under: Accessories, Style in the News, Shoes, Celebrities with Style

Christian Louboutin - No Prive 942 Platform Slingbacks
It's days like these where I smack myself on the head and say " Why don't I go sit in the audience of The Oprah Show?"

The other day on Oprah's 'Making it Big' episode she was showcasing some of her favorite products that have "made it big." Some of those products were Coldstone Creamery ice cream, Carmex lip balm and Christian Louboutin shoes.

We all know how generous Oprah can be when it comes giving away her favorite products, so naturally she was giving stuff away to her audience members. Now I could care less about a $2 tub of Carmex but what I would have been excited to receive was the ice cream Christian Louboutin shoes.

Oprah and Christian Louboutin gave one lucky audience member a pair of open-toe tiger print patent leather shoes. These shoes are a great way to spice up a little black dress or to give a pair of jeans an extra bit on oomph.

If you weren't that lucky audience member you can purchase these shoes for around $600 at Saks. Just be warned: Since these Louboutins were showcased on 'Oprah,' they're probably sold out already and going for a million dollars on eBay.

Closet staple: The bootie

Filed under: Accessories, Style in the News, Shoes

Christian Louboutin Patent Leather Loafer BootieNo, not that bootie! I am talking about the shoe, the must-have shoe this coming Fall. If there is one pair of new shoes you buy for the upcoming season let these be the ones. Whether you go for a lace up oxford style bootie or a loafer style bootie; booties are where it's at for Fall.

The great thing about an ankle boot, like these, is that you can wear them with virtually anything in your Fall wardrobe. Hide them under a super wide pair of trousers for a nice business casual look or wear them ribbed tights and a skirt. However you choose to wear them they will instantly update your wardrobe for the season.

My personal favorite are the pair pictured by Christian Louboutin. At $770 they may be more than what most people want to spend on shoes, but they have all of the bases covered. The loafer cut makes them okay to wear to the office and the black patent leather allows these shoes to go out with you after hours as well. For a less expensive alternative check out Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B collection and Marc by Marc Jacobs has some great ones as well.

Christian Louboutin are you kidding me?

Christian Louboutin ugly blue metallic fall bootiesI was cruising through fashion blogs and Fashion Tribes had these shoes on their hot list for fall. I love you Fashion Tribes; I used to write for you, but I just can't get down with these high heel oxfords by Christian Louboutin. They are blue metallic for goodness sake. So wrong.

I am starting to have ill feelings about Christian Louboutin, the brand is starting to have that high-end shoe downward spiral that Manolo Blahnik experienced. I guess the saying is true "what goes up, must come down." When Sex and the City was hot and every other word out of Carrie's mouth was "Manolo", everyone wanted a pair. Today Manolo's are still lovely but they certainly aren't flying off the shelves like the used to.

It was only a few years back that every celebrity foot was clad with the red soled shoes, which has clearly gone to Louboutin's head. No one with a clear head would put on those blue shoes. Nor would they put on these oh-so-scary striped booties. Let's stick with the more classic designs like the black peep toe pump or funky in a good way designs, like these fringed peep toe sandals. Just promise me you won't put out anything blue from the design books ever again.

Meet the next "it" shoes

A prediction has been made, these shoes will be the shoes on every celebrity foot come the fall (November to be exact). C'mon can't you see those pint size Olsen's teetering down the street of New York with a cigarette in one hand and a coffee in the other? I can.

Christian Louboutin's Emily shoe boots are a lovely pale shade of gray patent leather, that looked as if they were dipped in a luscious inky black pool of fabulousness. The boots have faux buttons (because who has time to button shoes) with zippers on the side. And in standard Louboutin fashion, they are sky high and have the signature red sole.

These shoes are embracing the true back-to-school look that will be ruling the fashion world this coming fall. Think argyle, college tees, prep school jackets, rugby stripes, awkward glasses, and, of course, plaid. These Christian Louboutin shoes are available for pre-order on Net-a-Porter.com and will set you back $925. The shoes will be delivered sometime between November 2007 and January 2008. Can you wait? I can't.

Barney's shoe sale

Filed under: Stores We Love, Accessories, Shoes, Steals and Deals

Did someone say "shoe sale?!?"

Barney's is having a massive designer shoe sale and fashion blogger Kristopher Dukes has scouted out the best of the best. Sky high heels, wedges, and platforms -- all of your favorites shoes that you could never find an excuse to buy are finally on sale, so go get them before someone else does.

My eyes are on the Christian Louboutin red and white platform espadrilles (originally $195 now $165), which will go perfectly with my 4th of July outfit. I will be sporting a pair of denim booty shorts, my navy blue Omni Peace top, and an over-sized straw hat. I am keeping it sexy/casual so I can get down and dirty with some fireworks at the Hollywood Bowl and if I am really feeling naughty, a hot dog.

Have a 4th of July sale tip? Leave me a note in the comments section because isn't Independence Day all about shopping?

Louby goes bootie for fall

It absolutely mystifies me that booties are all the rage for fall (the follow-up to the entirely ridiculous open-toed bootie). It does seem like one of fashion's inside jokes but here they are as awkward looking as ever making the long and graceful line of the foot look short and stubby. Case in point this Louboutin Lapono bootie. The shoe is done up in metallic bronze leather with a strange little zip up vamp. It seems an odd design and this is one case where the signature Louboutin red heel doesn't really work with the color of the shoe. The shoe sells for the astronomical price of $1,100.

The Louboutin Manicure

Manolo Blahnik may have had the girls of Sex And The City, but Christian Louboutin is, as Anne so eloquently put it once, Bordeaux to Manolo's table wine. Now Louboutin has inspired something Manolo hasn't, a distinctive manicure. The Louboutin manicure has a red coat on the underside of the nail which mimics Louboutin's signature red sole. The manicure was developed by Zoe Pocock, of London's Charles Worthington salon and involves polishing the top of the nail with any color and then putting a bright red creme on the underside.
