Guess who that is. Yep, she's George Clooney's uber gorgeous girlfriend Sarah Larson. She was called upon to model. She walked the runway during L.A. Fashion Week for Ashley Paige in a few hot one piece bathing suits.

Dating George Clooney is obviously great for her career! But seeing as how Sarah has friends in high places, you'd think that the makeup artists for Ashley Paige would have been a little bit more careful. They made Sarah look like a man!

Compare her Oscar photos with these pictures on the runway. For the Oscar's she was fresh faced and lovely. On the runway her makeup was heavy and masculine. Was that really necessary? Did they have to cover up all her pretty features in 5 pounds of makeup!?!

I'm not sure if this was just a one time gig or if Sarah actually wants to pursue full time modeling. I know that models starting out don't have a lot of say in the way they look and are presented for a designer. But, if she's going to do this again, hopefully George can pull a few strings and get a no tranny makeup clause put in her contract.

Deidre went to the show, then Anne pointed out the little controversy that had flared up around the Ashley Paige Spring Collection 2007 show held in LA lat week. I received an email yesterday with a statement from the designer's PR firm regarding her "tasteless stunt" of showing a young girl in a bikini alongside women modeling bikinis.

According to the email from the PR representative, the girls were modeling mommy-mathcing swimsuits from the Baby Paige collection, and the media had "incorrectly [linked] the Baby Paige swimsuits on the girls to Ashley¹s completely separate adult swimwear line." The designer herslef stated: "It saddens me to think that people could in anyway believe I am trying to exploit children. I was not seeking controversy what I was seeking was simply for the girls to look cute and have fun, as kids do on the beach everyday in Southern California and most of the rest of the world."

On Friday, Deidre shared a video of the Ashley Paige show at Fashion Week in Los Angeles, which featured some nice bikini babes in cool retro swimsuits. But what seemed like a great show has actually developed into quite the scandal. The designer has been excoriated by conservative family advocates for her use of a very young model in a barely-there bikini alongside the other also scantily-clad adult models. One critic, Jean Terry has remarked that "Nearly naked models are not the kind of role models we want for our children...and young girls should certainly not be used to promote a promiscuous image." Paige has defended her decision to use the 10-year-old model claiming, "I think the women who like my stuff...exude sexuality."
