Finding the perfect bra: There's more to it than you think

What qualities would your perfect bra have? Of course, it would have to provide proper support and be comfortable. And, it would need convertible straps so it can be worn with just about anything. It needs to cut low enough for you to wear your deepest neckline, but still provide a seamless appearance under a clingy t-shirt. It should lift and separate, but not so much that it makes your breasts look fake. Oh, and it should be a little sexy, too.

Are we forgetting anything? Because it turns out that building the perfect bra is a lot more scientific than we had realized.

Must-haves for your lingerie drawer

Gallery: Stock your lingerie drawer with these 5 necessities

As far as lingerie goes, your specific "needs" will be dependent upon your lifestyle. And we don't mean just your nightlife. If you wear a a lot of skirts and pants that show your pantylines, you need no-show panties. If your pants tend to be of the low-rise variety, you need some undies that will stay low, too. And, if you're an athlete, you need undergarments that stay in place during strenuous activity (you know, the kind of strenuous activity that requires you to keep your clothes on).

According to Divine Caroline, there are five things every woman needs to have in her lingerie drawer. Check out the gallery to see what they are, and be sure to let us know if you'd add anything to the list!

Lingerie models: Worst Sex and the City look-alikes ever, or better than the real thing?

If Insinuate Lingerie is one of those companies who believes that any press is good press, their strategy is working. The brand sent their lingerie models out into the streets of London dressed as look-alikes from Sex and the City.

Sexy undies come complete with "condom pockets"

You know that moment right before you're about to have sex, when it occurs to you that your condoms are in your pants, which are halfway across the room? Bummer, right? Nothing kills the mood quite like: "Er, excuse me for a second, I need to go rummage for my condoms. Be right back!"

Fortunately some Swedish high school students have solved that problem, and invented a pair of underwear that has a sewn-in "condom pocket." The local government thought this idea was so ingenious that the boys were given a Young Enterprise award.

Of course, these sex-hungry Swedes aren't the first to have thought of adding a condom pouch to your skivvies. In fact both men and women have a wide variety of options to choose from. Check out the gallery to see where you can purchase your own (warning: most of these product images probably aren't suitable for your place of employment):

Kate Moss does artsy lingerie movies for Agent Provocateur

As we mentioned before, Kate Moss has returned to Agent Provocateur, starring in the lingerie-maker's latest batch of advertisements. But instead of sticking to a straight-up print campaign, the company has decided to create six pseudo-artsy, mostly pretentious videos of Moss prancing around in her skivvies.

Gallery: Kate Moss does freaky ads for Agent Provocateur

Each video is based on one of the high-concept (and kind of racy) print ads, which are supposed to convey "the demise of a bride's 'big day' and serialize the unraveling of the religious organization behind it." Heavy stuff -- and it gets heavier. Each ad is based on one of the following themes: The Happiest Day of Her Life, The Garden of Eden, Bad News, Frenzy, Revenge, and Let Them Eat Kate.

Confused yet? So are we. Check out the gallery to see if you can figure which ad is supposed to go with which concept. Honestly we have no idea.

Lawsuit-happy Victoria's Secret gets served by Juicy

If you hang around with copyright lawyers enough, you're bound to get sued. That's what seems to be happening to Victoria's Secret right now. After suing Macy's for supposedly making knockoffs of their "Pink" line, it looks like VS is going to have to face the wrath of Juicy Couture's legal team. According to the lawsuit, Victoria Secret ripped off Juicy's trademark pink color as well as its marketing strategy, even down to the lollipop shaped packaging of some of their items.

It seems like every major fashion company is up to their eyeballs in copyright infringement lawsuits these days -- but instead of going after straight up counterfeiters, they've unexpectedly taken the opportunity to have a free-for-all on each other. It'll be interesting to see how many of these lawsuits hold up in court. When it's over, I'm sure most will wish the hadn't bothered to cast the first stone.

Bruce Willis' girlfriend to front La Senza lingerie campaign

Emma Heming, best known by most for being Bruce Willis' love interest for the last six months, will soon be scantily clad in her own spotlight. She is the new face of La Senza and will star in their super-sexy new campaign.

Emma has made attempts to break into show business before, but this is really her first big break. Curious how these things happen so quickly for some women once they start dating a leading man -- look at what happened to Sarah Larson!

Victoria's Secret attempts feminine lingerie, we scratch our heads

This past February, Victoria's Secret CEO, Sharen Tuney boldly stated the following: "We've so much gotten off our heritage ... too sexy, and we use the word sexy a lot and really have forgotten the ultra feminine. I feel so strongly about us getting back to our heritage and really thinking in terms of ultra feminine and not just the word sexy and becoming much more relevant to our customer."

No See'ems keep folks from, well, seeing 'em

We can't tell you how many times we've tried on a blouse and felt like we'd found a good fit, only to realize at a later (and generally much more inopportune) time that certain movements caused gapping in the front. And that's never cool.

On occasion, we've resorted to using safety pins and double-stick tape, but have never been happy with the results. Either the pins aren't hidden or the tape just doesn't work. Finally, though, there appears to be a solution -- No See'ems.

Rapanui's eco-chic underwear

A lot of designers take the position that fashion is all about looks and nothing about ethics. That's how we get things like the bacon bra -- where could you possibly find a less eco-friendly piece of underwear? If you're willing to get intimate with the problems that face our planet, you can start by exchanging your old-school undies for some eco-friendly underpants.

Rapanui makes ethical cotton underwear for men and women. They're a bit on the basic side, but simple is beautiful. The breathable, hypo-allergenic cotton is grown on reclaimed commercial farms where Rapanui works to remove all chemical deposits from the previous owners' operations. This soft fabric is not only gentle on you skin, but also on environment -- since it's factories are powered by wind and solar energy. Rapanui also imposes a 5% eco-tax on itself that it puts towards other environmental causes and organizations.

Give-N-Go boxers, not as bad as it sounds

Here at Styledash, we're kind of obsessed with finding all the latest trends in underwear fashion and technology. Our latest submission to the wide world of undergarments is called the men's Give-N-Go boxers by ExOfficio. The name is a little foreboding, and they do contain a small percentage of spandex, but the idea behind these babies doesn't have anything to do with giving or going -- or even sculpting you butt or love handles.

The Give-N-Go boxer is a water wicking, quick drying, anti-odor pair of undies for guys on the move. The name is just an unfortunately chosen sports reference that somehow made it past the focus groups. So, if you're into hiking, cycling, basketball or nearly anything that involves sweating -- which is nearly everything during the summer -- these are your ticket to staying dry (along with not wetting yourself).

Bringing home the Bacon Bra

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.

Peanut butter and chocolate? Sure, those are two great tastes that go great together, but let's face it, they're no longer shocking the world with their combined novelty. The time as come for Reese's to step aside, there's a new cup in town, and it ain't kosher.

We bet you had no idea that a bra could be life threatening did you? Well, it can. A woman in Greenville, S.C. had a near life threatening experience with her Victoria's Secret lingerie.

Denim boxers pull no punches

When we first saw these denim boxers in our inbox we thought it was a joke. It was early April, fools were in the air, and it wouldn't be too far of a stretch to think one of our fellow fashion writers was having a bit of fun. At the very least we expected the links to lead us on a rickrolling adventure. Nope. The denim boxer is for real.
