It's messy, cold, and time consuming, the three horsemen of "Next time."<br /><br />Our skin is saved by the <em>one million</em> moisturizing body washes with magic ingredients ranging from <a href="http://usa.loccitane.com/FO/Catalog/Product.aspx?prod=01CD075VE&amp;cat=Search">shea butter</a> to <a href="http://www.drugstore.com/qxp143939_333181_sespider/caress/body_wash_glowing_touch_silkening_body_wash.htm">glitter oil.</a> They'll never take the place of real moisturizers, but sure do buy some time before your elbows get red and cracked.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.neutrogena.com/ProductsDetails_383.asp?lProductLineID=12">Neutrogena Comforting Butter Body Wash</a> is our current favorite, although for non-moisturizer related reasons. Oh, it's got shea butter, <em>and</em> mango <em>and</em> cocoa butter, so it makes you plenty soft.  But we'd use it if it gave us green scales just to get a whiff of the addictive, faintly tropical, vanilla scent. <br /><br />Seriously, go down to the drugstore and smell it. <a href="http://www.futurenatural.com/bathbody-landing.html" target="_blank">  Organic beauty products </a>are great, I would even go as far as saying they are fabulous.  However, sometimes you get a dud and your soap ends up smelling like a salad.  I don't know about you but I don't want to smell salad when I am showering.  So when I tried this soap by Savon de Marseilles and it smelled good. I was over the moon.  <br /><br />This little bar of magic is free of animal fats and all that nasty stuff.  In place of that nasty stuff are vegetables, organic palm and coconut oils. At <a href="http://anitagrant.com/">anitagrant.com</a> we believe in cultural focus by purchasing directly from farming communities and/or partnerships with fair trade suppliers throughout the world, helping to maintain economic independence &amp; cultural survival. Using a variety of plant-based ingredients from different countries around the globe; we are celebrating ecological &amp; cultural diversity.<br /> <br /><strong>How did you get started running your business?</strong> It wasn't until I blistered my hands using a store bought bottle of so called "safe synthetics" that I decided not to purchase another off the shelf hair care product again. Since 2005, I've been making my own brand of natural and organic skin care and hair care. You shouldn't need a degree in bio-chemistry to understand the ingredient list of a hair care or skin care product label. It was a bit difficult at first to decipher all the Latin (INCI) nomenclature of the ingredients and separate the "bozwellox" from true benefits but I got there in the end. It's so liberating to be able to read the label of a product, understand the ingredients contained within and say "NATURALLY, I can do better."<br /><br /><strong>What are your top fashion &amp; beauty must-haves?</strong> If I were trapped on a desert island it better be one with a Coconut tree and fresh Coconuts hanging from it. According to <a href="http://theorganicbeautyexpert.typepad.com/the_organic_beauty_expert/2008/02/mike-burt-and-t.html">The Organic Beauty Expert, Burt's Bees might want to back off on the <em>natural</em> terminology</a>, which could be tough since their new campaign is Natural Versus. <br /><br />Burt's Bees recently teamed with Mike Indursky, who did wonders with L'Oreal in terms of boosting sales. However, the target market for Burt's Bees is a little different than that for L'Oreal -- they care more about how their products are made than which celebrity swears by them. All of her natural body products are certified cruelty-free by PETA, and Megan is also a proud member of the <a href="http://www.pittsburghcraftmafia.info/">Pittsburgh Craft Mafia</a>.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">How did you get started running your own business?</span> I actually started out in jewelry. (Turns out I wasn't too good at it.) I just didn't have a passion for it at all and I knew that I couldn't compete with the level of talent that's already out there...I turned to bath &amp; body because of how much fun I could have playing with scents. Last night, I was down in New York's East Village and I stopped into a store on St. Mark's Place called The Iron Fairies. <br /><br />From the outside, I could see there were soaps, candles, and a big rusty bathtub inside, as well as lots of little cast iron fairies. Fun!<br /><br />As I walked in, the first thing I noticed was the smell. The scent of sandalwood hung in the air like a thick mist. Sandalwood, as it turns out, is one of the specialties at The Iron Fairies. Oh, and by the way? With a wink, they claim that it's <strong>mined in the Australian Outback by fairies.</strong> <br /><br />On duty at the counter was adorable fairy aficionado Caroline. In the guise of his latest character Jackie Moon, from the upcoming film <em>Semi-Pro</em>, Ferrell has created a handful (armpitful?) of <a href="http://www.oldspice.com/index_v.html">short commercials</a> hawking the new Old Spice Pro-Strength deodorant/ anti-perspirant/ skin conditioner, which is apparently proven, clinically mind you, to provide protection from odor <em>and</em> wetness. Yes, it makes me want to whistle, too.<br /><br />I haven't tried the deodorant/ anti-perspirant/ skin conditioner, but I am slightly intrigued. I'm not a heavy sweater, not since I gave up exercise, but I've been known to shed a few drops of "sweat-gland deuce," (seriously, watch the videos) and I'm always looking for ways to avoid smelling like a turtle cage.<br /><br />Apparently the product is to be applied at night during which time the pores are plugged for 24 hours, even after showering. While I applaud the brilliant use of "the best defense is a good offense" mentality (wait, did I get that backwards?), I'm a bit concerned about the idea of plugging my pores to block anything, even sweat. Where does it go? Will my armpits become bloated with sweat-retention? I don't know. It is simple to use, there is no mess and it really gets my skin clean.  I have been using The Wave for two weeks now and I can really see a major difference in my skins appearance.
