Something we've noticed lately is the sudden prevalence of relatively inexpensive wedding dresses on the Internet. It started with Lane Bryant's now-dwindling Bridal collection of dresses and separates, all priced at around $150 initially and now on sale for about fifty bucks a pop. Then we noticed that David's Bridal has an online gown collection with dresses for all sizes priced under $250. Now Torrid has a few new wedding options for the curvy bride, all priced under $250.
Last year, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual gala, I got into a huge fight with supermodel Gisele Bundchen. The Brazilian bombshell thought I was trying to make a move on her man, Tom Brady. Things got heated quickly, and the 5'11 stunner hurled red wine in my direction -- completely ruining my vintage Dior couture gown. Upset and embarrassed, I fled back to Texas -- never to return to New York again.Continue reading A machine-washable evening gown, what every woman needs
Inessah and Tara are two New York ladies who found each other through Craigslist as subletter and sublet-ee in college.
English designer Karen Millen has a finger firmly planted on the pulse of the Retro Princess. From the cuts to the details, her spring line fits my favorite trend to a tee.
Try all you want, but I'm afraid you'll never be Heidi Klum. You won't ever have a face as stunning as hers, a body as rock solid as hers even after babies, a show on TV, and a disgustingly perfect marriage to Seal.

However, if you happen to be pregnant at your next red carpet event (of which I know you have so many!), Vera Wang's Jersey Gown in scarlet puts both together. In a departure from the usual silk, satin and taffeta for evening wear, the dress is made of super soft, super comfortable stretch knit jersey, is ruched at the bust and at the empire waist, which makes the dress both perfectly comfortable if you don't want to "suck it in," or if you can't (because you've got a baby bump!)
Since she's a former exotic dancer, I had expected something a bit more risque from Diablo Cody (screenwriter of Juno) at this year's Oscars. And while animal print is on the daring end of prints, there's no danger of naughty bits being exposed, and for that, I'm totally happy. In fact, I rather love her whole red carpet look -- she's funky, fashionable, and looks comfortable with her choice.Continue reading From red carpet to your closet: Diablo Cody at the 2008 Oscars
Penelope Cruz has no problem taking risks with fashion, and often, for her, that means playing with a variety of fabrics. This year's Oscars gown was no exception -- she had a plethora of feathers adorning her gown, and managed to make it work.Continue reading From red carpet to your closet: Penelope Cruz at the 2008 Oscars
