If you've ever thought that Lacoste seemed like a stuck-up country club brand that only appeals to tennis players -- that's because it was actually founded by legendary tennis champ René "the alligator" Lacoste. Don't worry, we didn't know that either. Here's another piece of trivia: Lacoste won 7 Grand Slams in the US, England and France, but he never made the trek to the Australian Open.

Now that we know the facts, it's all the more special that Lacoste has teamed up with the Australian Open to deck out all the ball-boys and girls with sharp-looking outfits. According to the article, Lacoste will be providing over 1000 uniforms for linesmen and officials in return for the ability to advertise to one of the most concentrated pockets of influential people on the planet (tennis fans). It's a win-win really. Maybe Lacoste could give Maria Sharapova a little help -- that tuxedo shirt didn't do her any favors.

Designers are whipping up back-to-back collections as if they only take a couple of days, hours, or minutes to put together. Not even a week after the resort shows came to an end, the haute couture parades are in full-force right and every celebrity with even just a little bit of fashion cred is in Paris right now taking in all of the fabulous looks at fashion houses like Chanel and Givenchy.

Suffice it to say, those keeping up with all of the action via Style.com are probably experiencing a major case of whiplash right now trying to keep up with everything.

Kanye West revealed to WWD that he has plans to work with Louis Vuitton, or "Louis" as the rapper says. The collaboration between the rapper and the label will be on a line of men's shoes.

That's not the only thing Kanye is designing these days -- he anticipates launching his first women's clothing line under his own name this fall. This mixing of the worlds of hip hop and the classic LV logo won't be the first, though.

We love Jennifer Hudson. She's a fierce lady with booty for days. Her voice is fantastic as are her acting skillz and she's besties with Andre Leon Talley of Vogue fame (heart!). However, this Peter Soronen dress had us scratching our heads. Puzzled some might say. Bewildered for others.

It's almost as bad as the caped crusader fiasco at last year's Oscars. Her posture isn't as confident as usual, the bronze hue (which is tough to pull off as is) overwhelms her lovely skin tone, and the hair is too severe paired with such a strong dress. To top it all off with the bronze shoe is just too much. Maybe with some softer boob length waves and a strappy shoe in another color this might've worked but definitely don't try this look at home.

The media has been abuzz about the July issue of Italian Vogue which will feature over 150 pages dedicated exclusively to black models and stories about successful black entertainers and performers. Famed photographer Steven Meisel -- you may remember him from his Naked Madonna days -- was selected by Vogue Italia editor Franca Sozzani to shoot the issue.

The issue will feature new faces like Jourdan Dunn alongside famed beauties like Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbell and Alek Wek. Sozzani says she was inspired by Barrack Obama's historic presidential campaign. Her intention was to spark conversations about race, and to demonstrate that there is more to beauty than blond, blue eyed Russian models.

In Mexico there have been 1,400 drug-related deaths this year alone. Obviously that isn't something to be taken, or discussed, lightly. However, it does appear to be a pretty good marketing campaign for Miguel Caballero, a clothing maker from Colombia who recently opened a shop on Avenida Presidente Masaryk, "a high-end shopping thoroughfare in the Polanco neighborhood, one of the most upscale in Mexico City." Ash Francomb is a self-described "sunny" boutique. What does this mean? Are solar panels involved? Not that we know of. However, we have a theory that the sunshine is in the shirts, figuratively. All of the prints are modern takes on vintage design and they promote "passion for adventure, the ocean, nature, and music into visual art meant to inspire their fans to 'live life like a road trip' and to travel the globe in search of endless summers and memories that will last a lifetime..."

Apparently Victoria Beckham is tired of just wearing expensive clothing -- she wants to design it, too.
