Congratulations to Talya, winner of our
My Little Empire Giveaway! She will be wearing the awesome outfit you see at right with vintage lavender ankle boots! Read her deserving comment below; sometimes we luck out on the random choosing:
I have a completely adorable pair of vintage lavender ankle boots--very high, delicate heel and pointed toe--that I found in a thrift store in SF's Mission District. They're perfect for this--the whole look would be very diaphanous and ethereal, but a little bit funky, too! Congratulations also to the winner of our
Roman Savell Giveaway, Glenda! Whatcha gonna put in that classy bag, Glenda?

Here's a big WTF from seller Davitcio: "
SELDOM SEEN 1922 BEADED BAG BOX PURSE UNUSUAL." All in caps.
Seldom seen? We're never seen anything like it! It's kind of like someone wrote down all the ideas for purses they'd ever had, then took a lot of drugs, then ate the piece of paper, then dreamt an even crazier version of this purse, and then worked day and night while listening to a strange mix of Enya and Bob Marley. No, it's not "kind of" like that. It's
exactly like that.
Here are my top five questions about this eBay listing:

We got sent these free samples from
Dentaburst. What? A tooth-brushing alternative? I gave the mint flavor a whirl and recorded the experience with my handy MacBook Photo Booth.

Sorry Justabear.
We're afraid the purse you are selling is ugly. We don't mean to be catty, no, but it's really ugly. If "Reddish-Brown" is a selling point...it's ugly. Also...it's orange. We don't get why you can't admit that it's orange.
Orange is clearly not what's wrong with this bag. What's wrong with this bag?

This gave us a geniune WTF.
Toe ties.
What are toe ties? Well, after some Google-image searching, we discovered they have something to do with hockey skates. And yet, friends, we do not recommend you bring these into the locker room with you.

That's right. Pleasure pillow. And they certainly look pleasurable! Our favorite design here at right is called "Primadonna."

Styledash has discovered a new fashion trend that is sweeping the nation (very, very slowly): Army-panda-chic.
This is an army hat. Okay. It has a red star and fifteen pins on it. Okay. The pins are mostly panda bears, and we also appear to have Hewey, Dewey, and Louie, those scrappy nephews of
Scrooge McDuck. WTF?

WTF? Toad bag? Don't you mean "tote bag?" This is crazy talk.
This is not a "tote" bag. No.
This is a toad bag. From Australia. Like Fosters pretends to be.
Has anyone ever looked at a toad and thought "mmmm...handbag?" WTF?

Seriously. It's...
it's a busted umbrella. That's all it is.
The handle is supposedly the selling point. Unfortunately, the handle looks like a large chicken bone made of wood.
Know what doesn't surprise us?

My hat it has three cornersThree corners has my hatAnd had it not three cornersIt would not be my hat!Remember that song from when you were little? We do. We think it was usually taught to American 3-7 year olds when talking about colonial America, which they do a lot in American schools until you turn about 7 (old enough to start asking hard questions).
But look! We found the hat! Two of them! Continue reading eBay WTF of the Day: My hat it has three corners

Earth Day is not only a day to celebrate the Earth, but also a day to examine our own beliefs about what we think is good for the planet. By thinking and talking about our beliefs, we can help each other make mindful choices. This will mean that next year, we can have Earth Day again, and not Sad-Mass-Formerly-Known-As-Earth Day.
So. Some people think it is good for the environment to support possum fur industries. Environmentally-conscious fur? Is that an oxymoron?

Men and women alike can be sustainably stylish. Here are the must-haves:
1. The reusable bag. It doesn't have to be
Anya Hindmarch's bag you see at right (which we've all seen about enough of, frankly), but re-usable bags are eco-friendly and can say a lot about you. You read? Get one at a bookstore. In fact, you probably already have one. They're called tote bags. Use them when you go to the farmer's market (or the drug store) and feel good about yourself.

Shame on you, Nicole Miller.
Look at this tie, for sale here on eBay by someone who actually named their
own self "being_lovely."
A tie can say a lot about a man. All kinds of crazy analysts (and probably some sane ones) chime in when it's time to pick what color tie a political candidate should wear to a debate, for example. From our personal experience, we know that a bright blue tie makes us like you, and a bright orange tie makes us hate you. (Not really.) (Okay, sort of.) (Maybe just Annie.)
