Sometimes good girls show their bras, but only for charity

Filed under: Style in the News, Swimwear & Lingerie, Style for a Cause

Usually we encourage ladies to keep their bra straps -- not to mention their bra cups -- well covered. But in this case, we are asking you to do the opposite. Even the rules of decorum can be lifted for a good cause.

In the Creative Cups™ Design Contest participants transform a padded 36C bra into a work of art. The contest is a fund raising event to benefit the 28 year old Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program.

This sexy lingerie costs MILLIONS of dollars!

  • Heidi Klum models $11 million bra (it's encrusted with diamonds)
  • Gisele models a $15 million bra (it's encrusted with jewels)
  • This bra is spun with gold thread, worth $1.9 million
  • Tyra Banks models a $3 million bra (it's encrusted with diamonds)
  • This bra is studded with pearls, worth $115,000

Even if you live in a different part of the country, this is a great way for aspiring designers, or anyone whose life has been touched by breast cancer, to creatively express your feelings about the disease and support a great program. Get out your Bedazzler and the big bag of sequins because one of the requirements is that you cover every inch of fabric. Think big, in every sense.

For information on the contest, including submission guidelines, visit the Adelphi University events page.
