Europe loves Abercrombie & Fitch
While us Americans, for the most part, stopped wearing Abercrombie & Fitch graphic tees in middle school along with Doc Martens sandals, our European counterparts just can't seem to get enough of the cotton tops with cheeky sayings. After launching a rather successful flagship in London earlier this year (its gross annual sales top $50 million), the mall favorite is opening its second store in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Debuting in 2009, the massive 16,000 sq ft Copenhagen store was "designed in the old neoclassical style typically found in Danish architecture when constructed in 1910."
Translation: It will feature those same dark hard wood floors and reek of that same unisex fragrance that your secret high school crush wore everyday.
Meanwhile, an 11-story A & F shop will be opening in Tokyo's Ginza district in late 2009. Now, shouldn't it be illegal to house that many denim mini skirts and tanned leather flip-flops?
