We remember being in school and getting in trouble for wearing hats. "But, sir," we'd politely say to the principal, "it's not a baseball cap -- it's a fashion statement." Plus we were having a bad hair day.

Principals don't always care about fashion statements, or bad hair days, for that matter. But we do, and we've spent the last several years making up for all those day we couldn't wear hats in school by wearing them everywhere else.

This Lombardy Cap, $42 at Anthropologie, might have to be the next addition to our collection. It's sweet and feminine, but with a little funky edge to it, making a perfect addition to jeans and a tank or a kicky sundress. Either way, your hair is covered and you're cute!
