We love the look of a soft, pretty headband. And, yes, we loved it even before Gossip Girl. Depending on the style of the headband, it can make your outfit more preppy, girly, or earthy. Today, we're leaning toward preppy.

That must be why we were drawn to this Printed Silk Headband by J. Crew, available for just $25. There's something about a polka dot scarf that just feels right for summer, and the black and white color scheme means you can toss it in your bag and wear it with just about anything you have on when it comes time to change up your hair and outfit.

Try a headband like this with your hair in all different styles -- down, with a chic low ponytail, or with a high, messy bun. Oh, and if you're not loving polka dots the way we are, it comes in other colors -- check out the gallery to see them!
