Oprah gets cast in a flattering light, literally

Many experts say no -- as a matter of fact, although the look of her face has changed somewhat throughout the years (most notably, her schnoz), it's more a matter of makeup and lighting than surgical intervention. Because, let's be real, folks -- how many of our faces don't look considerably different now than they did in the '80s?
Because Oprah is in the spotlight ALL THE TIME, she has an incredibly talented and knowledgeable staff to help her play up her best features and minimize anything she wants downplayed. And, it's amazing what a little controlled lighting can do. It can make you look younger, thinner, healthier -- and when you add makeup into the mix, you can achieve just about anything.
In the meantime, we'd love to get some of that flattering light over here. Oprah, could you hook us up?

hear hear! I was fat in the 80's. Oprah was young. We all looked like different people back then...

Uh, the flattering light certainly didn't hit the main picture used for this article. That eye makes her look like she just went a few rounds with Sonny Liston.
