T-Shirt of the day: Twelve Bar
Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.
Normally we garner all the background and/or interesting information about a featured item or company by perusing their website. Twelve Bar doesn't appear to provide any such info. We didn't let that stop us. We're hardcore.
Luckily, Thrillist had something to say on the matter and we figured they knew what they were talking about so we just quoted them, "Bar was born in '05 as a UK t-shirter, then two years later moved to LA to create a full line influenced by America's street culture and raw music." By the way, that raw music starts automatically which usually annoys us, but since it's so raw we let it slide.
The spring t-shirt line is "an expanse of tees some would call "streety", and others "shirts with cartoon chicks feeling each other up."" We chose the latter (note, the shirt in reference is included in the gallery- view at your discretion).
The shirts, as well as their other pieces, are hip and fun. Check them out.
