Next month, chic men and women of all walks of life will descend upon the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the name of fashion and fabulousity.This year, the Met has chosen "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" as the theme of its annual Spring exhibit.
Co-chaired by Giorgio Armani, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, the exhibit will feature 70 ensembles inspired by such comic-book characters as Catwoman, Wonder Woman, the X-Men, and many more.
Everyone from Balenciaga to Jeremy Scott, will be contributing original pieces of work.
Normally, designers try to keep who they are taking as guests to the event under wraps for as long as they possibly can, but Francisco Costa of Calvin Klein is spilling the beans now.
Costa will be escorting and outfitting Liv tyler and Fergie, but he also hinted there maybe more lovely ladies on his arm May 5. Meanwhile, Miuccia Prada has invited Oscar-winner Tilda Swinton and actress Elizabeth Banks.
It will be interesting to see how many celebrities and athletes dress up as actual superheros. Don't worry, loyal Styledash readers. We'll be glued to Getty on the day of the event to keep you all updated on the fashion red carpet dos and don'ts.
