Shoes of the Day: Te Casan Plath

We're not going to lie to you. We know there are plenty of shoes out there that fall into the eco category, but whereas clothing has gone way beyond burlap sacks to "eco chic" with pretty bamboo tops and dresses and denim made from organic cotton, shoes have not kept stride. We had quite a time finding stylish -- hey, we'd have even taken just "cute" -- shoes that are also friendly with the earth.So we give up, and have surrendered ourselves to Natalie Portman's vegan line for Te Casan, which some of us found a little uninspired/uninspiring. However, given that these are probably the only shoes appropriate for today WITH HEELS, we like the Plath pink satin pump with a little chiffon pom pom at the front. The heel is a mere 3¾", but hey, we'll take what we can get.
