Just in time for bikini season: DIY laser hair removal

Laser hair removal is hugely popular, and with bikini season approaching faster than a skeezy guy with suntanning oil approaching a lone, busty babe at the beach, the popularity of getting unwanted hair zapped is only increasing.

Fortunately, for those of you who are interested in laser hair removal but don't have the time, money, or desire to visit a specialist's office to have the procedure done, there will soon be some at-home options.
The first personal cosmetic laser to be sold in the U.S. is a device called Tria (at a cost of $995, so this will be for those "time and desire" folks, not so much the ones on a budget). It uses the same technology that has been used by professionals for years and a version has been available in Japan since 2005.

At a (slightly) lower price point comes Silk'n at $800. This device uses different technology (pulsed light), but this technology is used by professionals as well.

These devices don't come without risks -- they are slower than professional devices, and those with dark skin risk burns, though the companies claim to be working on a solution to the burns.

Finally, a device called no! no!, selling for $250, is more like a fancy schmancy shaver, using an electric heating technology. No! no! works well for large areas, like the legs, but not as well in the bikini area.

So what do you think? Would you be up for at-home laser hair removal? Have you had it done by a pro before? Let us know!
