Inspiration for Nicole Richie's maternity line was Balenciaga

Nicole Richie has confirmed the rumors. Her maternity line will soon become a reality. The Simple Life star is now talking about why she decided to become a designer for knocked up women and who was her inspiration during pregnancy. Continue reading to find out more.

Miss Richie has admitted that while she was pregnant she was obsessed with one designer, "I wore so much Balenciaga during my pregnancy."

Obviously Nicole stewed a little differently than most people. She was a size (negative?) 0 before getting sperminated, and during her pregnancy she grew to a size 4, tops. So while most people are barely squeezing into maternity jeans, Paris' sidekick was still doing designer clothes, known for running small.

Nicole talked about starting the new maternity fashion line, saying, "My line will be about making women look and feel good at a really emotional time. It's about showing your best self, not your tired, worn-down self."

It's a little easier to not show your "tired worn-down self," when you have all the money in the world to spend on nice clothes and good food, and the only appointment in your book is for a foot massage and pedicure. Celebs live in their own little world, it's true. But, hopefully Nicole's line will be for the real woman, who really do want to look fashionable, even with a bun in the oven.
