Ashlee Simpson partners with Wet Seal

Ashlee Simpson + Wet Seal = A match made in heaven. She is designing a line of tops for the teeny-bopper retail giant.The line is set to launch on the same day as Ashlee's new album, Bittersweet World. That date is April 22 if you want to start a countdown. Conveniently enough, her CD will also be available at Wet Seal. So if you're in the mood for a double dose of Miss Simpson, the youngest, you can buy both her music and clothes in one quick stop.
The company's CEO Ed Thomas said, "Ashlee is a role model for our girl and her fun and flirty sense of style is an inspiration for the line. The goal was to partner with an icon and deliver affordable fashion, and Ashlee is an ideal partner for this. We're excited to see the designs brought to life in our stores and we look forward to Ashlee's exclusive merchandise being available across America."
I don't know if I would call Ashlee an icon, but it's true that her style has matured. In fact, I thought she'd have evolved beyond the mall giants of this world, but I guess no upscale lines are calling her name. And hey, a paycheck is a paycheck.
