Buffy gets naked, what a tease
Filed under: Skin Care, Celebrities with Style
After years of waiting, Buffy the Vampire Slayer finally decided to do some nude photography -- sort of. This is as close as it gets with Sarah Michelle Gellar, who has maintained that she will never take it all off for the camera. The ads feature a series of images, each displays an indistinguishable part of the star's body. One features her hand and forearm, another her face resting on her knees, shrouded in her hair. The tagline reads: keep skin amazing. The beauty of it is, that the sexy ads are for everybody's favorite hand lotion: Vaseline. This is the kind of ad concept that's just made for one-liners. I had the urge to crank one out about how the ads were jerking us all off -- but that's just what the ad firm wants, so I'll stop there.
Initially, the skin care giant challenged customers to guess which celebrity was featured in the ads. Now the photos are being auctioned off to benefit the Coalition of Skin Diseases. So it's all for a good cause.
Early in her career, Gellar promised never to do nudity, and it's rumored that she requires no-nudity clauses in her film contracts. According to Female First, she didn't actually pose naked for the ads, but wore a black dress that was digitally removed. Doh!

ONE OF THE FEW OF TODAY'S "ACTRESSES" WHO NOT ONLY CAN ACT, BUT LOOKS GOOD AND IS SQUEAKY CLEAN. GO SARA! NUDE, OR WITH CLOTHES--EVEN LOTS OF CLOTHES, YOU LOOK GREAT. PUT A "STAKE" IN THEIR HEARTS.

Just get naked - or whatever - and forget the lame "good cause" excuse. Wish all I had to do for a paycheck is drop my drawers.

Wow, imagine that, someone with some self respect. I'm impressed. I wish more actresses would keep their clothes on.

Of course, portraying a total sleazebag in half your roles is also kinda nasty Sarah, but I guess that it might be hard to understand, being an actress and all.

What 'Arsehole' (I believe he is one) didn't say is, that site is known for 'splicing', using celebrities faces with body-doubles.

Oh please... posing nude doesn't mean you don't have "self respect", it means you're comfortable with your sexuality and your body. I commend women that aren't afraid to put themselves out there, especially with so many close minded people in American society.
OMG SEXXX NOoooooooo!!

I think I'd have to agree that there are a lot of close-minded people in America. This is not to say that everyone here is close-minded. I'd definitely consider myself a patriot (patriotism does not mean blind support for things you do not believe in).
I find it sad that we censor nudity on television, and that a movie will receive an R rating for showing a body part, but will receive a PG-13 rating while depicting acts of violence. I don't think violence should be highly censored either, but I don't think nudity should be regarded as more inappropriate than violence.

I think she is a great actress, but shouldn't make such a big deal about the nudity. As long as it is not gratuitous I think its not fine, and always saying that you won't do nudity just draws more attention to it.
