J Crew's new take on men's boots
Face it, you need to have a pair of winter boots to get you through these frigid, snow-covered months. However, as I've mentioned before, it can be a challenge to find a pair that doesn't make you look like a dorky ski instructor. Here's an interesting boot by J Crew -- called the Wrench -- with an extra layer that looks a little like chaps for your feet. But don't be fooled -- that flap isn't just decorative. Most likely you can pull that up to keep your ankles warm on longer walks -- which is great for those of you that see a lot of snow where you live, and are constantly fighting against that frigid rising damp on your pant legs.
At $182, it's not the cheapest pair of footwear you'll ever own, but on the plus side, new looks for men's boots tend to stay in fashion for a few years (at least), so you won't be handing these off to Goodwill any time soon.

ok, so my first thouht was something a bit robin hood-esque. But if the flaps lift up then they are not so bad. Even so I sure won't be running out to buy my husband a pair anytime soon.
