Remembering our discontinued favorites
Do you ever wish that the products you once loved never went away? I know I do. Every time I walk into the Body Shop, my heart aches a little when I look at the shampoo shelves. Nostalgia takes over, and I start to think back on the day that I discovered Body Shop's Blue Ice shampoo. The color, the smell, the tingly scalp feeling I'd get when I left it on a little too long -- oh it was so wonderful! Why did they ever discontinue it?!?
And don't even get me started on how much I miss Express's short-lived production of lingerie, which yielded the best pair of underwear I have ever worn in my life. (Confession: I still have them! Who cares if they're 8 years old?)
Alas, the list of items I have loved and lost seems endless: Clearly Canadian's sparkling raspberry drink in the clear glass bottle; aluminum-free Adidas deodorant; Concord grape New York Seltzer Water; the old Tide smell; Diet Coke with lemon (I hate the lime version)...
Now that we're on the topic of discontinued favorites, what are yours? Leave a comment, and we'll randomly pick one person to receive the discontinued item of their heart's desire! Just kidding about that last part, but let us know what you've loved and lost anyway.

I loved Body Shop's Banana shampoo and conditioner, Clearly Canadian Raspberry was the bomb! (thank you for reminding me) And Nolita's Hairspray was the best and only hairspray that has ever worked for me.

I desperately miss Loreal's Mattique foundation. I have tried everything since they removed it from the shelves and NOTHING comes close. Don't they realize they shouldn't mess with a woman's appearance?? I have sunk into a depression every since I found out. Help me!!!

"Om" perfume by The Gap. My all-time favorite. I used it for years and got so many compliments on it. Now it's gone, and I haven't liked a Gap scent since. (yuk)
My second favorite was The Gap's "Grass". Yep, that one's been discontinued too.

Maybelline Everfresh Make-up. Of course THEY say their PURE line replaced it, just buy that. Well, of COURSE that's what they want! The Pure line is like 80% WATER, smaller in size, and higher in price! Duhhhhhhhhh....

I cannot believe you mentioned Clearly Canadian Raspberry!!!!!!!!!!! It was the best. Since then, I have changed to Talking Rain Berry in the 2 litre bottle!! It is the closest to that! I could not believe CC disappeared. I was distraught!! Other than plain purified water, it was all I drank!!
Then I saw NY Style Seltzer and I DO remember drinking that a LOT!! Why did these 2 disappear. Not sweet enough for the Cola Crowd?? Too sophisticated for the Root Beer Rowdies? Why don't they come back. I was in Fred Meyer the other day and swore I saw a bottle with CC on it!! I did not have time to even look more closely but will now. I will let you know!!
