The fact Rex has to say, "I think the photo of Ms. Palto (assuming it is of her) is rather striking...

That's the odd part of the photo it doesn't resemble her. Palto is a very beautiful and talented actress, but at times you see photos of celebrities that the photos look nothing like them. Sometimes it's the photographers fault in how he captured the individual.

I'm not a fan of this photo, I'd rather see the Gwyenth looking like Gwyenth. I'd have to agree this cover will go down as one of the worse covers of the year, not because Gwyenth doesn't look attractive (she always does), but she looks nothing like herself.

Deidre, I liked the article. The only one acting like they're in Junior High is Rex. Emotions, darling... emotions.

First, I'm not a die hard fan. I liked Gwyneth in a few things, others I could pass on. But I've never actually seen her look better in a picture than she does in that one. Its an excellent picture. And keep in mind, this is a picture.

Second, when the hell did blond hair and a tan become a bad look on anyone? Deirdre, I commend you for trying to find someone other than Paris, Britney, or Lindsay to make fun of, but you really missed the mark on this one. You're writing for a blog on a site called Styledash. A little sense of style would be nice. Saying she looks different is one thing, but calling it one of the worst covers of September is just stupid. Maybe it is jealousy or envy or just some traumatic psychotic hatred for Gwenyth, but whatever it is, you should keep those things in your therapist's office.

I find it interesting that they describe the before Gwyneth as....
"The perpetually pale and WASPy looking faux-English lass" but then go on to criticize her with "spray tan, the giant brush brows and the blindingly white hair render her virtually unrecognizable" about the new picture. Geez, did this columnist just hate her all the way around? She looks fine either way to me, let her be.

i happen to think she looks quite remarkable...sure, it's a little edgy, however, at least she didn't feel that she had to be risque and strip or show a tit or sumthin AND she didn't go under the knife. (nothing is wrong with doing either, as long as YOU'RE ok with it). to me, it's like playing dress up, and what girl doesn't like to dress up? i think people should stop hating, grow up and let people "do" them. especially, if no one suffers from them doing so! plus, the pale, pasty look is sorta played out!

To poster #6, "Princess Poon," how do we know that Deidre has a pimple face? Has there been a picture of her posted at all? Some authors of articles will do that....Submit a photo that can be used for the readers to put a face with the writing. I have never heard of Ms. Deidre before, so I know nothing about her. However, she does sound bitingly jealous of Gwyenth Paltrow's beauty, grace and intelligence. Yes, she does look a bit different, but can't graphic artists alter a person's appearance and features, just by a few clicks on the mouse?? Actually in this particular photo, Gwyneth looks a little bit like Sharon Stone, if Sharon Stone had long hair and had a bad spray on tan. lol
