Poll: Who wins for Best Dressed on the Red Carpet?

Alright, dolls. I know we're all in the middle of watching the golden statuettes being handed out, but you have to find something to do during the commercial breaks, right? As a member of the Styledash Academy, you're obligated to vote for who you believe was the Best Dressed on the Red Carpet tonight. The style ran the gamut from Meryl Streep in Boho Chic to full-on Hollywood glamour, but we were able to narrow down the choices to these six nominees. Make your vote in the comments (and if you followed along during our liveblogging, you probably know who I'm voting for), and if you think we very grossly overlooked someone, feel free to let us know!
- Penelope Cruz - pretty in pink
- Portia di Rossi - braided beauty
- Nicole Kidman - red hot
- Reese Witherspoon - dark angel
- Beyonce - light mint lady
- Helen Mirren - golden goddess

Although Helen Mirren's dress wasn't exactly the best of the best on its own, it suited her extremely well, so my vote's for her. Gosh, I hope I look at least half that good when I'm Mirren's age...

loved, loved, loved nicole kidman and cate blanchett. my guess is that H&M is busy making their knock-off dresses now. but i have to get a snark in .... kirsten dunst .... seriously? with that pale blue 1950s, school marm-style neckline? does she do that on purpose? kirsten, stop holding out hope for a "mony lisa smile" sequel...

Well, from here it looks like Helen Mirren is showing the most cleavage. **shudder**
After closer inspection, I'm going to go with Nicole Kidman. I usually wouldn't go with something so bold, but she looks great.

Well, I have to go Reese based on the photogenic quality of her look. I thought Beyonce's stone shoulder strap thing was weird, though the dress looked good when she was sitting in the theatre. Nicole's frozen face really freaked me out. Portia looked good in navy, but not the BEST. Helen Mirren I just love. but the dress photographs weird at the chest. And although Penelope is awesome and her dress looks cute here, I thought the bottom half looked like a muppet on TV last night.

Reese wins. Classic. Elegant. No jewelry necessary. (But did she have work done? Her chin looked strange. Oh, and somebody feed the poor girl.)

I have to go with Beyoncé. She looked absolutely fabulous, like a Grecian goddess. I'm not sure I would have gone with the color, but the style was high-glam chic. It also certainly flatters her beautiful figure.

Diane Keaton! She looked fabulous! Inspiring for the 60 something crowd or wait, come to think of it, inspiring for the 20 somethings also! Great dress, figure to die for, style personified.

Penelope Cruz - pretty in pink - her dress looks like a peacock to me and she seems unapproachable.
Portia di Rossi - braided beauty - she looks very uncomfortable and unsure of herself.
Nicole Kidman - red hot - looks as if she has proven something to the world and flaunting it.
Reese Witherspoon - dark angel - seems as if she is trying too hard to be 'free' of something.
Beyonce - light mint lady - too posed ... uncomfortable in her skin.
* Helen Mirren - golden goddess - my choice.
This lady has paid her dues, is comfortable in who and what she is and wears not only this beautiful dress well, but her heart and warmth shows in her eyes and smile.

Nicole was stunning. Whether it was the red dress or just because it was Nicole !

I love..loved Beyonce's oscar dress. she really stood out like a beautiful muse. I love how she disconnects herself from the "Hollywood" hype, and brings her own fashion fusion. what a classy lady. beautiful..just beautiful.

I must say that that Helen Mirren looked stunning. I definitely have to vote for her. Reese looked great, but the hair, and then there's Nicole Kidman who also looked wonderful, but Helen Mirren is my vote, hands down.

Oooh it's a tie between Penelope and Nicole but I gotta give it to Nicole for being the only chick there to rock a big bow and make it look sexy!

I remember watching the highlights afterwards and still thinking that Penelope Cruz's dress was stunning--the fit, the drape, the train and the color--it complemented her skintone and hair perfectly--and she showed that having a shape other than a stick works on the runway! Having said that, I'd have to give Reese and Helen close seconds--Reese for stepping out of her comfort zone in a Old Hollywood glamour look and Helen for showing a woman over 40 can still look sexy and glamorous without resorting to slits up to New Jersey or her tattas hanging out!

i love love loved nicole kidman's dress, but the bow or whatever it was in the back, looked kinda weird. i thought beyonces dress was strange, pretty color, but not that flattering. Reese looks elegant and classy, and the straight hair she came with is back in. She has beautiful bone structure and light hair, so the navy color of her dress really brought these two things out.
