That's a sexy toilet
I'm a firm believer that life is enhanced through good design. Why shouldn't everything we use be aesthetically appealing as well as functional? So you can imagine my joy at the darling new designers for high-end home urinals. Yes, urinals in your house. Seriously, why not? They make for far better targets than regular in-home toilets, and they look awesome.
At first, customers weren't quite ready to drop between $1K and $2K on a fancy potty, especially given the resistance from their wives. But now that the fixtures have cropped up in boutique hotels and restaurants, more and more men are taking the plunge. They're buying models in the shape of teardrops, spoons -- even ornate flowers, like this giant mutant orchid.
So what do you think? A clever enhancement to your urinating experience, or just expensive kitsch?

I totally doubt the style of the urinal matters. I thought the men's room etiquette was not to look up, down or around, but straight ahead. Do they notice the urinal?

Things have gone way too far for the sake of design. I am in the toliet partition business--Yes we make the dividers that separate people in public restrroms for privacy and as usual simple is better!

I think it's a great idea, I'm getting ready to add a bathroom or two to my house and I might actually purchase one.

OUCH!! Love it...love it...love it. This brings a bit of aesthetics to an issue formally looked upon as not very pretty. If I had the money I'd buy two...LOL.

I think it's a great idea. I am not to sure about the flower shaped ones but the teardrop and spoon shaped ones look very upscale. It's better then the same old nasty looking thing you are use to seeing. But as a female it's not something I really have to worry about. I wish the designer all the best.

I think the commentator who thinks the flowery one seems gay is off the mark and a little deluded. Gay men are known for good taste in design.
Home urinals seem a good idea, probobly save water, and will keep women from their complaints of seat up, seat down. However, there seems room for additional/better ideas and the orchid, for one, seems better suited to California's Madonna Inn, known for its theme rooms and over the top decorations.

I like the idea of having one of these in the home,I'm planning on building a new home in the near future and will put one in for use next to the party room facilities in the shape of a woman's vaginal cavity; I think that would be the hit of the party and get lots of use, and I am sure the aim would be dead center each and every time....! Thanks for the great idea......!

I've had a urinal in my garage for years, we put it in when we build the house. the guys think it's great. MY wife thinks all men should be using a urinal instead of a toilet when we pee.

We have a urinal in our gameroom bathroom in our home. The men/boys in the family think it's hillarious, & it was my idea! So not all women are opposed to a urinal in the home. I wish they had these designs when we built our house 2 years ago--we have the standard type, and although it's fun & functional in the bathroom, I like the idea of something more kitchy. But not the flower--that's just bizarre!

Could I suggest NASCAR themed urinals? There are alot of fans that would love to **** on the car and/or driver they hate. Possibly with hidden plumbing and a flush handle that looks like a car door or jack handle?

If we had thought about a urinal when my wife designed the house we would have put one in. If they are great for restrooms they are better for the home.

A flower for a urinal? Nah.... kinda wimpy for most, dont ya think?
Now if they had designed a big mouth bass or a ferocious snarling bear head.... I could see the Bass Pro Shops across the nation remodelling their restrooms!

With 3 boys in my home I think it is a wonderul idea!! I am tired of waking up in the middle of the night and plopping my bottom onto a wet toilet seat! I think the flowers are a little bit too much but I would take the other one. And what about the guy?? Can I have him TOO?????? He is a hottie!!!
