Past the age of 35, a model pretty much has to take what she can get to pay the bills and just hope that as you fade into obscurity everyone else will remember you best for what you did in your early career. A case in point is Cindy Crawford's latest ad campaign for the Turkish Leather Industry, which was printed in yesterday's WWD.
Don't worry, Cindy. I'll always remember you for the Diet Coke commercial.

Poor Cindy my foot! Whatever!!! She doesn't even need to work. The 10 year contract she had with Revlon gave her enough money to live off of for the rest of her life. Plus, she had so many other things going on not to mention the remington hair product that she is now the spokeperson for. Also, she is an embassodor for Omega watches. Give me a break. And......her husband makes enough money with the huge success of his bars. She doesn't need the money to pay her bills.

Can't really feel sorry for Cindy. Working is optional for her at this point so I don't really see the relevancy of catagorizing her as someone in a disadvantaged state. They enter into the modeling field knowing the nature of the beast. The smart ones make their money, invest it wisely, and rest or not rest on their laurels as they consider other ventures.
