Seven Days of Style: Call (-ing card) Girl

calling and business cardsIt's the sesaon of socializing, and every smart business girl k nows that socializing means networking. While you're out there charming the crowds with your sparkling smile, lovable laugh, and wonderous wit, make sure you are armed with calling cards. Don't rely on your boring business cards from work because really, do you want that darling boy in the black velvet jacket to know what you do during the day? Right. So here are seven ways to make sure he or she calls you, and a few that are insurance that they won't. (Click through on the images for shopping information.)

Sunday - Moo cards are a new customizable option that allows you to print photos from your Flickr account on a slightly slimmer card than usual. For $19.99, you get 100 cards, and they dont' all have to have the same image, you know because some of them have a picture of you (give to the boy) and some of them have a picture of you and three cats (give to grandma!).

Monday - Fabulous! An appropriate name for a stationary company whose pre-made designs are absolutely fabulous. The color palettes are intersting and the designs are some-modern, some-retro. A set of 100 cards is $55.

Tuesday - Juicy Couture calling cards are a set of 20 cards that are already printed with "sayings" that are to the point: a pink heart with black "Ciao Juicy," a black Scottie dog with pink "Whatever... Call me," pink crown and "Spare Me," pink/black "To stare is human... To call is divine," and a tan signature Juicy shield with pink "Once upon a time; happily ever after." Juicy COuture calling cards are available from Neiman Marcus for $35.

Wednesday - If you're going to fully customized with something like Vista Print (an online printer that will make calling cards for you for a range of prices), then you may want to check out The Best of Business Card Design 6, a graphic design book that will certainly spur your creativity, and look great on your cocktail table The book is $45 from Amazon.

Thursday - The Stop Talking Cards from Rare Device were just too funny to not mention here on Styledash. It's a set of 25 cards that simplay state "Stop Talking." We are sure that we don't need to tell you how useful these will be. The set of $25 is $8 and includes a black letterpress carrying case.

Friday - Now that you have that set of calling cards, you can't just throw a stack of them in your purse -- they;ll bend, wrinkle, and might get stained from the leaky lipgloss. Best to carry a calling card case like this one by Blomus from Greener Grass Design. The case is a sleek and chic stainless steel, and with the flip top, will be easy to whip out of your purse, snap open, and grab a card for the deserving recipient.

Saturday - Calling cards? What are those? If you don't care at all about leaving behind a card with your vital stats, and think instead that the best way someone will remember you is your gorgeous smile, then forget about carrying another little thing to add to the mess of stuff in your purse and take with you Trish McEvoy's Little Black Card, a tiny little makeup set. It's just about the size of a business card (or credit card), and has everything you need -- concealer, bronzer, blush, eyeshadow, and lip colors. Available at Saks Fifith Avenue for $48.50.
