PETA's worst dressed celebrities
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) just announced its picks for the worst dressed celebrities of 2006. This annual list targets prominent celebrities who choose to wear animal furs. Topping this year's list is Nicole Richie, followed by Ashley Olsen, Christina Ricci and Eva Longoria. (Who called Eva Longoria with her reprehensible yeti jacket?)
But why isn't Kate Moss on this list? Hasn't she become the animal rights movement's punching bag du jour over the past few weeks?
So much for no surprises...

No one should be listening to anything said by this group of terrorists, that is what the government has labeled them becasue they contribute funding to terrorists that attack this country.
You should also go to their website and read their manifesto, they want to do away with ALL animals as pets forever. Celebs that support this organization obviously think they are doing good, but they check more fully into what exactly they are supporting!
PETA is an evil, evil group, and they are getting more and more laws passed that will take away your right to own a pet!

Poor little animals-- They probably think they need the fur more to cover up all their bones.

I dont think old furs or folks who bought furs a long time ago should be held responsible for the sin of buying new ones. It was not an issue 20 years ago and many women have them from that time and should be able to wear them without critizism.

PETA believes "better dead than owned". They put more animals to death per year than The nations kill shelters combined. They have the right to complain about fur why? There is nothing wrong with wearing the hides of animals unless they are an endangered species. Now if they were wearing tiger skins, ivory earrings or Rhino tusk bangle bracelets... then complain.

I think wearing fur in today's society is horrible. The way the animals are treated is awful. You raise them, kill them, skin them, then toss the body who knows where. Back when the Native Americans did it, it was different, not only was it needed, but it wasn't wasteful and thoughtless like it is today. The Native Americans used every part of the animal and they also had high regard for nature and animals. Today, people don't care. There are other means of keeping warm people. Besides, it's more of a fashion statement then keeping yourself from freezing to death; killing an animal for vanity? How cruel and stupid is that?

If I remember correctly, God gave Adam and Eve animal skins as clothing after they sinned and disobeyed Him......I'm guessing He approved of that since He started that and He is, of course, The Authority.....

Wearing Fur is wearing murdered animals, not just killed, MURDERED in the MOST barbaric cruel way imaginable. Look at the film of how fur is obtained before you comment. And it is not for shoes or food but for "Fashion". There is no excuse in this day and age of faux fur to wear the real thing. Don't tell me about all the humans hurting, humans have a voice, animals do not. And humans are full of hatred, while animals kill only for survival. Enter the 21rst century please...Karma will be a bitch for the fur wearers ...

People that post really should know their facts. First of all, wearing fur was an issue over 20 years ago. I remember at the age of 10, in 1970,
I saw a clip on the news about how baby seals were clubbed to death
in front of their mothers and sometimes skinned while they were still alive. It was one of the most saddest things I've ever seen. Second, PETA people are very committed, and are not hypocrites (the only thing I like about Pam Anderson...).
