Do your facial from your fridge

fruitsAccording to dermatologist Nicholas V. Perricone, MD (who also has a very expensive line of skincare products), a three-tier approach that involves diet, supplements, and creams can delay the "need" for drastic skincare measures like plastic surgery or Botox. WebMD turned to the expertise of Dr. Perricone and health and beauty expert Deborah Chase, to put together a step-by-step guide to natural skincare using products right out of your house. The article has full details, but here are a few highlights:
  • Dr. Perricone's three-day "nutritional facelift" is a diet rich with omega-3 fatty acids, which are vital for natural skin care. It includes: olive oil, coldwater fish, and colorful berries
  • Rosemary, thyme, bay leaf, and white wine make a good skin toner
  • If you have dry skin, make a mask of buttermilk, egg yolk, honey, and mayonnaise
