JT brings sexy back to your backpack
On AdJab yesterday, Adam Finley wrote that pop icon Justin Timberlake has a new line of school bags produced by Ful brand backpacks. While he isn't pictured on the bags or in the advertisements, the packs have the ever-so-subtle illusion to Timberlake by being dubbed the "JT line". I suppose that this is an attempt to appeal to JT's younger audience -- the school-age girls who swooned over him in his boy-band days. But in the long run, I'm not so sure this is the best direction for him to take if indeed he wants to be a serious adult performer. With his solo career starting to really take off, I'm not so sure the backpack-wearing demographic is the one he should be courting. Backpacks don't have a lot of street cred, even if they were featured in Hustle & Flow.
